minecraft is pretty much the best game ever made

Honestly wouldn't mind a reset and we block mod use ;)

Really have a survival server.

Word, We can do that. I'm pretty sure the old world was out to get us. These guys told me in the support ticket that they lost my account. Which is weird...................... Even they're clueless. So we'll probably have a new world and new stuff regardless. I might even get a new host so I can allow more people on at once.

I'm very sorry, it looks like your server got terminated by our system for some reason.

I'd be happy to offer you a full free month of the server and create a blank server for you or i can refund your last payment for you

Looks like I got a full month free. Dunno when the new server will be back up. I'll make sure to change the world seed so we get a better spawn. I assume there will be a new IP as well. Afaik, it's better to run a vanilla server with no mods otherwise you get severe lag issues and screw ups.

Well that sucks. I was just getting going with a good supply of diamonds.

I think it'd be cool to have an island server. Check out the seed 'IndustryCraft'. It's probably the coolest I've seen. You spawn with a bunch of islands and seem to be right on the border of a forest and desert biome. Dig down a bit and it has a kick ass cave system.

Alright New Server is up and running. I used the seed "CarolinaHuddle" and it spawned me in some water.

I sent PMs to some people about the new server IP. But since the huddle pm system has a 45 sec limit between PMs and i keep forgetting who else i need to send a bulk PM to i gave up.

For those of you who already have the old IP. just replace the last bit.

xxx.xxx.143.26:25573

The x's are the same.

On this Server. flight is false. So if you try to use a fly mod, it will kick you (built into the server). Spawning stuff will also be not allowed.

If I can get a good head count of how many people actually play on the server I could probably raise the user limit. I don't think we'd need to since i don't think more than 3-4 people get on at a time anyway but this is just in case more people want to play.

Also, One of the things I've always wanted to do in minecraft is Competitive building. Basically get 2-3 teams on a server and try to out-build each other and fight for resources. Imo it's a good way to keep minecraft fresh and exciting since it gets pretty boring if you don't have a specific objective or goal in mind. This could also segue into some sort of giant capture the flag or storm the base sort of thing, but yeah I dunno it's just an idea. Let me know if you're interested~

edit: ALSO, if you join the server and it's dark and you don't wanna die, just d/c and come back in about 15 min. Hopefully by then all the mobs will be gone and it's daytime. This way we can limit the amount of creeper explosions and holes near spawn.

I'm about to be very pissed. The server went down and thinking that it's gonna do the same poo as last time i went to the file manager asap.. turns out there's no files there. I'll have to wait and see if it decides to come back up and make like 0493804980349 backups of it if it does.

Well, it looks like the "Adventure Update" is postponed to 1.8. But there' a really interesting blog from Notch yesterday regarding it:

Since 1.8 is still a significant time away, we’re going to have to stop being as secretive about it as we have. We’ll provide information about it as we go, but we’ll keep actual details secret. So, for example, we could say “added two new colors” without saying which ones, or “testing experience and leveling to see if it’s fun” without giving details on exactly how it works.

The update is pretty big, and will change a lot of how Minecraft is played, focusing on making exploration and combat much more rewarding, and bringing in a bigger sense of adventure to the game.

Already implemented are new complex terrain features, at least one new mob, some interesting new combat mechanics, a new lighting engine, and some experimental new gameplay ideas. To come is more interesting farming, bigger incentives to explore, and npc villages.

Whoa! We will be able to create our own village of NPCs? Cooooool. I wonder if it will be better than Terraria.

    • Some of you act like one can't learn from experience over time. Just because you may not know what you're doing in 2018 doesn't mean that you don't know what you're doing in 2025. Frankly, you grow from experience, and success and excellence gives first-time applicants the hand probably 99.999% of the time.
    • It's an interesting topic of conversation as sports evolves. I think ultimately it would lead to a number of small market franchises folding though. Especially in the NBA where there are so many bad teams that have been bad for years and years in some cases already. But as it stands I think athlete pay draft or no draft aside has reached a point where we can and should realistically ask should they make that much compared to the average person. Now college athletes is a different conversation but even that reaches a breaking point. But we could go down the rabbit hole on this even further into overall entertainment and talk about actors making absurd sums too. In the end I think in sports the powers that be won't allow these changes to even be considered because it opens the door for so many other variables. But who knows how long sports like football will realistically be around after people like us pass on. We're only just now learning about things like CTE which the league and the sport in general will only be able to run away from for so long. As far as the NBA goes my understanding is viewership has been steadily going down for a number of reasons but one crucial aspect is key players missing so many games. The NBA has to figure that out regardless. Especially when considering fans who pay to see these athletes compete in person. But hey I guess let's just try to appreciate what we've got while it still exists in this form eh?
    • I can't see a world where the money goes down, but maybe your lottery odds are now your contract numbers you can offer.  Thunder? You can offer Flagg 4 years, 20 million.  Hornets? You can offer Flagg 4 years, 80 million.  Some form of a system where the money is still there, but so is the freedom of choice (on top of bad teams getting *some* competitive advantage to signing them).
