Are any of you House Husbands?

I stay at home a lot with our daughter. My wife and I each own our own small business. She has a painting company and I do ceramic tile work. When she has jobs I am at home and vice-verse. Daycare is just too damn expensive at about $200 per week.

My cousin has 3 kids and he stays home while his wife works full time.

Yea, I need to put my kid in day care next year. 52 weeks = 10k. :(

That is tax deductible. If you work, or your wife, work for a company that does flex spending accounts, sign up for it. It will save you some cash.

This and this.

Our daycare is $230 per week = $12,000 per year. :(:(

We're starting the flex spending account in January. :yesnod:

Can't wait to file our taxes this year. Hospital bills, student loan repayment, daycare, all deductible. Give me some money, uncle sam.

Pay attention to the accounts, FSA will not pay for day care. There's another account called a Dependant Care Account which is specifically for daycare, but only if it is to allow the parents to work or go to school.

That's what I'm talking about. I have no idea what the official name of it is, all I know is it works like an FSA for daycare.

    • I wouldn’t be surprised if the Pats win it all or at least get there. Maye is awesome.
    • Young quarterbacks Drake Maye, Bo Nix, and Bryce Young have led their teams to undefeated records since October.   Drake Maye has guided the New England Patriots to a 5-0 record in that period, with 2,285 passing yards and 17 touchdowns in nine games. Bo Nix has directed the Denver Broncos to a 5-0 stretch, throwing for 1,976 yards and 17 touchdowns, contributing to a 7-2 overall start. Bryce Young, in his second season, has led the Carolina Panthers to a 4-0 run since October, accumulating 1,390 yards and 11 touchdowns amid a 4-4 record.   Undefeated QBs since start of October (min. 4 starts)   Drake Maye 5-0 Bo Nix 5-0 Bryce Young 4-0   Bryce Young when asked about his mindset during game winning drives: "You don’t rise to the occasion you fall back to the level of your training."
    • 1. Cowboys-No explanation needed. 2. Rest of NFC South equally. If I had to pick I would say Falcons.    3. Eagles- Both of the games I have attended there the fans were so horrible. The fan base is so ridiculously misbehaved, I’ve never seen such immaturity. 4- Lions- I have cousins in Michigan that grew up Lions fans and they are some of the most obnoxious people I have ever met, as are all of their Lions buddies. The NFL has been lucky that Detroit has been in the cellar for its eternity.    5. Tie between Bears and Vikings. Both act like Steelers, Cowboys, Niners fans do with nostalgia and legendary seasons but neither have ever really had them. They act like they each won 5 super bowls in previous decades but never accomplished poo outside of Chicago in 85.
