Theres nothing wrong with D3 football. Is it D1? No, but the competition is still high and the athletes are still great. I play at Bridgewater College. Small school in VA, but we have a good program and compete in the ODAC (Old Dominion Athletic Conference). If you love the game, consider it.

There are also a ton of stories about guys walking on to D1 schools and eventually earning a scholarship. Mike Hass is a guy from Oregon State that no one in his home state wanted so he walked on and ended up winning the Biletnikoff Award for best receiver in the country his senior year. Whatever you want to do just do it and you'll get whatever out of it you put into it.
