Gives me a reason to buy BFBC2. The BF franchise is the only shooter with enough depth to keep me interested now, even then Xbox live just cant compare to playing on a PC and using a good team VOIP system.

Do yourself a favor and pickup an old copy of BF2 and download Project Reality mod. Seriously, you'll be glad you did.

Team Fortress 2 on PC makes BFBC2 look like Medal of Honor: Frontlines.

It's not too difficult to pick up and play if you've ever played a BF franchise game before. Infantry play would take a few hours of play to really get going, but once you get used to the squad system, the longer engaging distances, higher damage ratios, and manually pulling up your map to navigate you'll be scoring kills just fine. Learning to use vehicles correctly takes a little longer, and playing as a squad leader or team commander is pretty much a constant learning process.

The game also has a really strong player community and most people are more than happy to help you break the learning curve, but if you only like run-n-gun shooters stay far away; the size of the maps makes it so that a good team (or the commander) will focus on the "bigger picture", maneuvering the enemy into killzones rather than playing Rambo.

So is the Vietnam expansion good? I can't decide if i feel like paying for it. I just started playing the maps they released a couple weeks ago and im enjoying them but im not sure how much more i can take of the same gametype over and over again.

If you like BFBC then it's a no brainer. Personally I love the Vietnam expansion. It's got a nice vibe to it.
