2011--The Year of Coaching Changes??

We could see a year with one of the most jobs at stake that I can remember. Off the top of my head

AFC East:

- Miami- you have to believe that seat is hot.

AFC West:

-Denver- obvious new coach

-San Diego- I don't think it will happen, but anything is possible in the NFL.

AFC North:

-Browns- they are improved, but there is always a revolving coaching door in Cleveland

Cincinati- see Denver

AFC South:

-Tennessee- Jeff Fisher is GONE. If he isn't fired, he'll take his option.

-Jacksonville- They had a good year, but Del Rio has been on the hot seat for the past 4 years

-Houston- no playoff births

NFC East:

New York Giants- Coughlin will resign/retire or get fired if they don't win next week (and/or if they get embarrassed in the first round)

Dallas- Still a question mark, I think Garrett gets the job

NFC Mess, I mean West:

San Fransisco- see Denver

Cardinals- originally I hS never thought about this, and I still don't think Wisenhunt will be fired, but this team is pretty bad. This one goes in the San Diego "anything can happen in the NFL" category.

NFC North:

Minnesota- I'm back and forth on this one. Theres a good chance Fraizer is retained, but for some reason I think he could bounce.

NFC South:

Carolina- see Denver, Cincy and San Fran.

So by my count, that is 14 possible changes. Should make for a interesting 2011.

true, i gave them all the benefit of the doubt because of improvements, but as I said, anything can happen in the NFL.

My only hope is the Panthers move quickly before quality candidates are taken off the board.

But I expect static out of BOFA and little movement early as other teams lock up their head coaches.

I got a DM from Schefter saying he didn't like Wisenhunt was in trouble bc of the extension. I never thought hed be moved, but I put it out there anywhere.

Unless Dean overrides AJ, like he did with Marty. Maybe Norv will try and test the nepotism hiring waters.

Public opinion aside, it’s his team to run. Turner and Smith will return. This is not an election ticket. One vote matters.

It could have been our draft picks or our free-agent moves. But we have a good core, and I don’t care what anybody says. I’m not afraid to make changes. If I thought it was warranted, I would do it.
