Thank you Jimmy Clausen.

@Cracka... I do agree with your point regarding his progression, as he hasn't shown that much throughout the season, but has the rest of the time for that matter? Yes our Run game has stepped up some, so that shows the O-Line is run blocking a little bit better but that doesn't say anything about the pass blocking. I don't feel that Clausen is being given much help to be successful, and I am using that word very loosely considering the season we are having. And when I say he isn't be given the help, I am not only talking about the people on the field, but those on the sideline as well. The playcalling is terrible and very basic at that. They aren't running much of an offense that makes the opposing defense think. On to your point regarding the downfield throws, yes, you are correct in saying that he doesn't put the ball down field much to at all, but when do you stop thinking that it is Clausen and not the coaches? I use Sanchez as an example of that. His rookie season and the beginning of this one, he didn't throw down field that much at all, and when you watched a lot of the plays, they look to almost be designed to throw the check down and hoping that any downfield pattern is just a clearing route, to pull the defense away. Coming from a football coach, it just doesn't seem that he is given reads down field; he has one route underneath maybe 10 yards and after that, it is get the ball out and check it down. Is that because the coaching/playcalling is dumbed down for the rookie QB, I don't know... but I compare our season last year with Delhomme and this year with both Moore and Clausen, the reads and overall passing attack seems to be completely different and limited. Just my two cents (whethers its even worth one cent on this board or not, meh)

For all those who are Anti-Clausen fans, can you explain to me why in such a horrible season you expected him to play any better than the rest of the team? The O-Line was terrible to start the season, which made the Run game non existant and the Receivers had little to no idea of what they were doing when on the field including how to catch the ball... Clausen played up to the same level that all the other QBs for the 2010 Panthers did along with the remainder of the team...Blast me for this, I don't really care but in that, explain to me how and at what time was Clausen trully given the time and chance to be successful and for more than a play here and there... how about an entire game

No he didn't. They all played bad. Moore and BSP at least had moments of looking like a functional QB. Clausen has the most reps and is the only guy who started games that couldn't get a WR into the endzone. Every other QB averaged a WR into the endzone per start.

Different kinds of bad.

BSP looked like a good QB, really? Two pick-6's that were on him and not reading the defense... besides he only "looked" good that game because Goodson shredded Bmores defense along with Josh Wilson not be able to cover anyone including a rookie (this coming from someone who grew up and played ball with Wilson)

Moore looked okay and had one good game... but compare the production and numbers as far as the offense as a whole, no QB put up numbers and got anyone is the endzone any more than the next... all the QB played poorly

Not sure where I said that. Is said they all played bad.....Moore and even BSP had moments of good. Up until midway in the 4th q BSP DID play well given the circumstances and was suprising. He also got ZERO help that day with guys dropping wideopen stuff.

Like I said, every QB not named Clausen averaged a WR into the endzone per game. Clausen has most of the reps and hasn't done it one time. Different kinds of bad. Every QB not named Clasuen showed a little good mixed in w/ the bad.
