Breach getting ready to be released for Xbox Live (and PC)

Just finished downloading the trial on live but for some reason I'm having issues getting into a game....

I had a problem one time when I tried to do quick match...ever since then I just choose my own game to get into. Try that, because I haven't had any problem getting a game that way.

Anybody that is just starting out on this game, let me give you a piece of advice. Unlock the bad ass perk along with the dragon skin gadget early. The "Bad Ass" perk cuts your health in half but gives you double XP for everything (you use XP to unlock everything). The dragon skin will give you a boost in health somewhat offsetting the bad ass perk. You'll have to play a little bit more cautiously but you'll get way more points (especially for game types like Infiltration where you get double points for capturing objectives).

Stan I think I seen you on their official forums?

I didn't get a chance to play much yesterday but hopefully will tonight.

Yeah, I was on there.

Give me your gamertag and we'll play some...provided the lag isn't too bad. They are working on the lag, but it has gotten worse for me.

Black Ops was actually a step back from Modern Warfare 2 graphics wise. It's barely better than CoD4, which was 4 years ago.

This game is NOTHING like CoD and BF, it's not supposed to be, it's a more realistic, tactical shooter instead of a run-and-gun put "a whole clip" into someone to kill them type game. I like the cover system. I can hardly play non-hardcore modes on BOs anymore cause it's so bad with hit detection and lag. They need to extend the trial though on Breach, because the game is rough till you get your first sight on your gun, then it makes it much better.

I don't know what you mean, I play very tactical on Xboxlive, and I've seen a lot of people doing the same. TDM may be your issue, try out Infiltration, which is where I was. A whole team of randoms playing smart. Even seen a couple guys using breach charges to make them a good post up spot. Instead of getting a point and leaving (CoD style) they stuck around and defended it.

The issue with this game is you can't judge it yet, everyone doesn't have all the gadgets and stuff yet. When that happens, the game will change so much, with all the things you can do.

The developers are working hard this weekend on lag and testing it out and figuring out how to get some fixes out. They are trying.

I wish they had enough money in the beginning to do a beta though, but they are just a small publisher from Raleigh, NC. (We're actually helping out NC small business by buying it).

I agree about the tactics. People are using cover, they are defending objectives...they aren't (for the most part) trying to run and gun ala COD. Personally I love this game, I just wish the lag would get fixed.

BTW...I unlocked Recon and that first gun is a beast. I also finally unlocked the slam charges...they are pretty handy. They don't stay around after you die though (like anti-tank mines in BFBCII).

Sent you a FR on Xbox.

Need some guys to play with that aren't stupid. I need more XP but it's hard when you get on a terrible team that's stuck in their spawn.

Some reviews for Breach:

http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/editorials/reviews/8588-Review-Breach

One of them is kind of harsh against Breach, but they are comparing it to BFBCII and COD. I will agree that if you're going to compare it against those games, you're likely to be disappointed. The other one takes it for what it is and gives a pretty fair review.

so with that being said, if you have BFBC2 why would you buy this one? Is there a reason??

    • I guess I should have stipulated outside the sacred cow.   I complained from year one that Bryce should compete for and win the starting job on his own merit but no he was just handed it. I have been right there with everyone that wants competition.  But I don’t really have a huge problem with it for this season the way it has gone because where are the viable people we don’t have to trade for? I actually am okay with tiny hands Pickett because he is so close to Bryce arm strength wise and to be honest, skill wise. Probably. And it is only a one year deal.  That also takes I to account that the QB class is looking stacked next year and if Young fails miserably then we get either a reset or a real competition and there will be more guys that I would like looking at in the FA QB class next year as well.    I sort of accept where we are this year and look at it as a treading water year. I just want to get to next year with some clarity. More than anything. And they did empty out the room. Again, who was really there for us?  And I know it would not be a true competition at this point anyway. They are giving him the year, like it or not.    Also I don’t give a poo about winning games IF he sucks and or goes down after sucking because draft position and that stacked QB class.  And I want out from under him So Bad.     So I guess it is several factors that lessen my anxiety over his backup this particular season.    I am not trying to convince anyone, but you asked.
    • What happened to King? Was he a no show?
    • think these smaller Qb's are going to have a much harder time convincing an NFL team to draft them. not saying a smaller Qb under 6 feet tall will not make an NFL roster .it will most likely be a UDFA contract more or less prove it deal.NFL teams have been burnt time & time again investing in these small NFL Qbs & i think  teams are now finally starting to realize that investing in these smaller Qb's under 6 feet tall is simply a bad idea  ...just saying
