Official Panthers Coaching Staff Thread

McDaniels appeared poised to replace Rams offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur, who was hired as the Browns' new head coach. However, more than two days of talks did not produce a deal between the Rams and McDaniels, a surprising development that may have been derailed by the team's conservative fiscal approach, one source said. The talks could be revived but neither side appears optimistic.

reports say that the Rams are already in discussions (or will begin soon) with Bevell

Saw that, but also interested in Musgrave. Zorn is rumored to be in the running for Cleveland's OC job.

Al Saunders is expected to take the Raiders OC spot under Hue Jackson. If they part ways with Paul Hackett or Ted Tollner, they'd be good options.

I just hope these coaches can back up their talk. Hell, Jeff Davidson said that he would run a balanced offense and that he would incorporate more screens. Well, his offense was not balanced at all and they couldn't set up a good screen if their lives depended on it. Not only that, but his offense never even remotely resembled that Patriots system that he was supposed to be running.

Look at their records.

Their histories back up that they're not just blowing smoke.

davidson just didn't have the ability to create ways to get the most out of his guys period. norv thought alot of chud & several teams were interested in his services. but we need to calm our expectations as to what we will see next season. i doubt we morph into a top 10 offense but i could see us moving up to 15 to 20 range if we get solid qb play

you never heard anybody say that davidson has great off. mind or anything remotely close to it. he is a guy best suited to be a line coach. plus his boss makes alot of calls as to what plays to use
