Contracts and paying players are where the rubber meets the road in the NFL when it comes to ownership and management philosophies.

Case #1: Peyton Manning is about to become the highest paid player in the history of the NFL as he and the Colts are talking right now. CBA be damned, the Colts are wanting to make this happen regardless of what the new salary cap may look like.

Case #2: Jerry Richardson refuses to negotiate, sign or otherwise deal with his team until a new CBA is in place. He is more than willing to watch one UFA after another decide they'll play elsewhere rather than pay the man for what he can bring to the table.

Are you seriously comparing a team resigning one of the best quarterbacks in the league, to another team signing ANY of it's players???

We will not be spending a lot of money to keep Deangelo Williams when we have Stewart and Goodson. I like the guy as much as anyone but its just not going to happen...it wouldn't be smart financially. Especially considering he probably has 4 good years left and we are rebuilding.

I realize most Panther fans are still riding Goodson's jock, but dudes got some some fairly sizable issues when it comes to ball security and seems to fumble at the most inopportune times(reminds me of Deshaun Foster).

Give me back DWill and JStew and either designate Goodson to 3rd string/PR/KR or trade him. I'll admit, the guy is pretty good, but he's no where near a healthy DWill when our running game is clicking. :nono:
