I'm going to a concert at the Time Warner Pavilion, and I was curious what hotels the locals would recommend as close to there as possible. Rep for useful info blah blah blah

Every time I've ever stayed in Raleigh, I always stayed at the North Raleigh Hilton. But this place is across town from where you want to go.

Maybe Bleys can chime in, he's from Garner. I think that's a bit closer to this place you speak of.

Sheraton Downtown - 10 mins from Walnut Creek and lots to do downtown after the show.

They just built some 4 star hotels downtown. Then you have your run of the mill Red Roofs and Holiday Inn Expresses around South Saunders street. Depends on what you want the hotel for. A bed to lie your head down or a place to meander around and catch some of the nightlife/restaurants. If you want that...look downtown around Fayetteville St Mall area. If you're wanting a place to lie your head...just look at places off South Saunders.

This. I worked there in college. They've revamped the whole downtown and made it more bar/pub friendly.

She works the Charleston area, and I said I was trying to avoid those places
