This isn't recruiting, no team has to "win" his services. Using that mentality, no player would ever have anything good said about them. Get real.

Also, if you're going to let me in on how NFL scouts think, I guess I'll bump into you around the combine sometime right? I go every year since a lot of scouts and GMs I have personal relationships with. Maybe around Cam's workout? I'll be at both, let me know if you wanna meet up I've never met another huddler before.

Yeah but if you think these GM's don't use the media to try to sway the draft you are naive. In every type of business this is done, from wall street, to politics, to sales, you name it people manipulate the market through media.

The NFL is no different. If someone thinks someone is great but is just a few picks behind where a player is projected they will use these same tactics.

I think you are putting too much "stock" into that, but to each his own.

The only way this workout will hurt Cam, is if he comes out and proves his coach to be a liar and that he hasn't made any progress at all. If that happens, Cam's stock will drop and his QB coach will lose clients. However, if Cam comes out and nails the workout, all of those (supposedly) pissed off scouts and GM's will want to see more. That's all there is to it.

Or they won't care because they expect him only to show his strengths and what he's comfortable with?

You do realize that this workout is all about Cam taking snaps from under center and proving that he can handle 3,5, and 7 step drops, right? You know, the things he didn't do in college and the thing that scouts are worried about?

Anyway, if they don't care, then why get mad about it? For that matter, why are you so bothered about this? You don't have to be there. If you don't like it, then just ignore it.

I understand that he will be doing new things, but is he going to do things scouts want? I know he's going to take drops. Is he going to take drops and throw in rhythm to the 15 yard out across the field? Where are the cameras going to be at those times? Focused on his feet? His eyes? His arm? The ball placement during his drop? The result of the throw?

Scouts are going to have to try and piece this together instead and it's frustrating to them. There is no real reason other than publicity.

I'm very interested to see how it goes, that's why I'm going. My feelings on the subject don't matter. I'm just saying that according to the only reports we have right now (As far as we know), this does not look good for him, it doesn't help his image and scouts and GMs aren't happy about it.

I'm just messing around man...I like Colin and I won a boatload of money when they beat Boise. There are some more polished guys in the third that I'd rather have but I do like him and his story.

I'd probably take him in the 4th but like I've said I don't want any QBs in this draft because we won't have any room for youth. I don't know what it is about him but he's a player I'll probably follow throughout his career because I like him, I just don't think he fits here.

Colin is an interesting prospect. Someone will ****** him up earlier than the fourth round I bet. He has a MAJOR flaw in his throwing motion and he is a real project. But he is tall and has a rocket for an arm. If a team is really patient with him he could be really good.

Having said that I don't want him lol. I like two QB's in this draft but he is a good pick if you already have a good QB in place and he can be a back up for three or even four years.

The way I reads this is you are setting the groundwork to make the argument that he doesn't succeed no matter what. If he struggles you can easily say, "I told you so." but if he excels you will say, "It was scripted to prop him up."

That way after Feb. 10 you can continue to claim whatever you want. From what I have heard they are likely to do the standard throwing drills that most teams would do at a pro day or at the combine and not what you are suggesting. If that is indeed the case and he does well he would have accomplished something Feb. 10
