This is a great read. Anyone who wants the real nuts and bolts of the current labor issues explained in a non-lawyer fashion and want to educate yourself on the CBA, read this series...

Thanks. D. Smith needs to know when his ass is kicked. His empty threats, comments to the press against owners, press conferences, etc. are all smokescreens. He has nothing.

He is only sitting down to talk because he has to give an appearance of negotiatiing.

About the owners opening their books--that should probably be done, but it needs to be done by independent accounting firms. I would be damned if I would let them see the books and take stuff out of context to the press.
