The 3 No's to Newton

PLEASE!!!!!!!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!!!!!!! this "show me proof he new about it" garbage makes me SICK! He CLEARLY knew about it. A dad who is as involved in his son's process (look up the articles about where his son went... florida, Blinn, etc Cecil is a HUGE part of Cam's decision each and every time), and is as involved in his life doesn't pull a fast one on his son like this. They were in it together.

Cam stole a laptop because he was taught to take what he could get growing up by a father who continued to do just that. They were in it together, period. Anybody who denies it is either an Auburn fan or simply Naive.

That being said, Hopefully Cam has learned by now that the real way to get ahead is hard work. If so, then God bless him. By lets not pretend he didn't know about it. what about when Cam told the recruiter from mississippi state, "They're just offering too much..." Do you think he was talking about marbles????

The fact that he stole a laptop is disturbing, the fact that he cheated on tests in florida raises some red flags, the pay for play... not a point for him, but the fact that he father is CLEARLY a ME FIRST type of dude makes me wonder if he raised is son the same way, which is hard to avoid. That's the scariest red flag all for me.

You can debate the importance of the pay for play thing... which, to be honest doesn't disturb me as much as some other things, but PLEASE DON'T claim he didn't know about it. that's just stupid

So, proof isn't needed to condemn? You must be a moron. Without proof, there is nothing. In ANY matter. People don't go to jail based off of assumptions (which is what you are good at making). You are entitled to your opinion that he knew, but don't act like it is a FACT he knew until you can undoubtedly prove it.

As far as Cam saying "they're offering me too much". They could have just offered him the scholarship and a better opportunity to start and be part of a better team. Or maybe it was just an excuse. "Offering me too much" doesn't have to be materialistic. Although we live in a materialistic society, not everything has to be that way with every person.

You're hatred of Cam (for whatever reason) is not letting you be objective. I am not going to say he didn't know about the pay for play. Why? Because I can't prove he didn't. I wasn't a fly on the wall during that whole process. Why can't you just admit the possibility that you could be dead wrong? Or at least admit you look like a complete moron by making a truth claim with no evidence?

Hey, how are those unicorns and flying spaghetti monsters?

Too bad they didn't have proof on Big Ben. What he did was 100 time worse than anything you will ever find on Cam Newton, yet he has already been forgiven by lot of fans. If there was even a whisper of Cam doing something like that, nobody would touch him with a ten foot pole.

I don't hate cam newton. In fact, I'm slowly coming around to having him as my #1, but I'm not Naive enough to think he didn't do it. He did it. this isn't some random rumor. Put the facts together. This isn't based on "no evidence" it's based on presidence, and eye witness accounts. Is it proven beyond a reasonable doubt? maybe not. Is it proven in a logical algorithm based on physics... no, but neither is the non-existence of unicorns. Is it so extremely likely that we should just assume it's true when evaluating him as a draft pick. Absolutely!

But he's been accused of rape...how is that not a big deal, but Newton's scenario, which has yet to be proven, is?

Why say "we should assume it is the truth?" So, you're telling me that because YOU think that Cam knew of the pay for play, that means he absolutely did it? You cannot speak in absolutes without evidence. Unless you want to look like a cynic and an idiot. I can agree, there is just as much possibility that he did do it as there is the possibility he didn't. The fact of the matter is, we don't KNOW this either way. There isn't enough to say. Potentially not picking up a player based off of a "maybe" is stupid. Every player, if you dig enough, has something, be it small or large. Fairley is called dirty (illegal, late plays), AJ Green sold jerseys and made money (illegal by NCAA rule). Those have been PROVEN. But since Cam is sitting at a "maybe" situation, he has character issues? Keep drawing straw men.

What "precedence" (that is how you spell it) is there? That he made some questionable decisions in unrelated matters earlier in his life? There is no precedence. In the Bush matter, they didn't just say "well, he did it. We can't prove it, but we know he did" and then go on to strip the Heisman from him. They had EVIDENCE. They were able to show cold, hard proof of his activity. All we have on Cam is knowing that his dad was involved. Cam is responsible for what Cam does, not what his dad does. As of now, all we KNOW is that Cam's dad has admitted to doing it. That is it. Saying Cam knew without a leg to stand on is by far the dumbest thing you can say on the matter. Unless you can show me something. Results from a lie detector test, written texts, emails; recorded phone calls. Something with substance. Anything at all. Until then, you have no argument. An opinion and view on the matter? Absolutely.

Again, I hope you are a lawyer, just so you realize how bad you are at presenting a case when you don't win any of them.

I hope you continue to take time responding to my posts that are only meant to get you nuthuggers riled up. I hope you keep spinning your wheels saying the same thing that is in every other thread.

Big Ben banged some drunk girls at a bar, big deal.

If he locked your sister in the bathroom and banged her against her will, I'm guessing you would think it's a pretty big deal.

Anyway, just the fact that you're actually defending Big Ben, tells me all I need to know abut you.

Sure if he stabbed her and took all her money I would be upset too, but none of those things happened.

Ben was drinking, slut was drinking, slut thinks "Ben has money," slut begins to seduce Ben, Ben fugs and leaves, slut realizes Ben doesn't love her, slut realizes she won't get rich, slut causes scene crying rape. Cop high fives Ben.

End of story

The man was accused of rape in two seperate incidents in two different states. If there was nothng to this, then why was he punished by the NFL, after they investigated?

The Real Deal was too pussy to troll Luck fans. He just followed the crowd and got on his knees too. In the end he just wants to belong. He wishes Moore got this kind of attention. Lol.

Even though I wasn't on the Luck bandwagon and said many times that the only reason people think he is so good is because everyone else in the class is so bad.

The NFL has a personal conduct policy which doesn't really like players drawing attention to the league by banging drunk girls. You can get in trouble by this private employer without breaking any laws.

There are hundreds of players who have "banged drunk girls" and didn't get suspended. This was different, and you know it. Well, you may not know it, but everybody else does.

    • His physical attributes aren't going to change on a new team so I have no idea how he would pan out elsewhere but I can logically assume those issues he has had with processing which was supposed to be his key selling point before the draft would follow him. He was also supposed to be someone who thrives when the play breaks down but he has been inconsistent at best on that and at times horrific. I think where we each take a fork in the road on the determination of Bryce Young currently is you seem to still be treating him as a rookie and not a third year QB still repeating the same mistakes while showing that he has no arm talent to overcome even the slightest bit of adversity. I've said all along his rookie year and his sophomore season that I would be willing to overlook his interceptions if he was pushing the ball downfield consistently and even if he turned the ball over forcing a pass here and there to keep defenses honest I would accept it. But he has nothing. There is no deep passing game here. He threw the ball 55 times in Arizona which was 30 more times than Kyler Murray and only had a little over 100 more passing yards than him. Legitimately you should read that again and ponder it. That is embarrassingly atrocious. Circumstances here are not ideal with the WR's and OL but we cannot normalize this. It is horrendous. And we need to swallow our pride and begin scouting QB's for the 2026 draft. In the meantime this cannot continue on much longer for the sake of the locker room. And the upcoming schedule isn't going to get any better. If there is a silver lining to any of this we are going to find out just who Dave Canales really is throughout the rest of the season. He isn't getting a pass either.
    • I don't hate it but.....  eeeh it would take acquiring Kaprizov without giving up svech to make rod try Jarvis at 2C. Svechnikov/Aho/Kaprizov  Ehlers/Jarvis/Stankoven
    • Given the fact he declined buku bucks over on the HOF hockey board most don't think they will even get svech..... (not even canes fans) The $$$$ tag plus lack of leverage for Minny could end up seeing him dealt for somthing around what we got for Ranttanen....
