person familiar with the deal told The Associated Press on Thursday night the Bobcats will get this June's first-round pick Portland acquired from New Orleans and a 2013 pick from the Trail Blazers. The Bobcats are also acquiring Sean Marks from Portland, but will waive him along with forwards Dominic McGuire and Derrick Brown, guard Sherron Collins and Peterson, the person told the AP on condition of anonymity because the deal was still awaiting league approval.

I don't know if ESPN is assuming that we are realeasing Mo Pete and UPS but I can't see the Bobcats doing that because we would have no depth at all, realistically here is what I see.

They way I understand NBA rules, you can never have more than 15 players on a roster without a special exemption. Yesterday's roster before the trades was 15, the trades brought in 5 and 2 left. The team had to waive three players before the trades could be approved. I think the team is purposefully cutting down to 13 players because so many other teams are waving/buying out guys right now that the Cats are looking at bringing one or two of them in.

Higgins says he plans on releasing Mo Peterson and Marks today, which will give the cats room to sign one or more players they waived, most notably mcguire, brown or collins. per charlotte observer...

Charlotte Bobcats general manager Rod Higgins said he plans to release veterans Morris Peterson and Sean Marks, players who were picked up to make trades work Thursday.

That opens the possibility the Bobcats will bring back one or more of the players they waived -- Derrick Brown, Dominic McGuire or Sherron Collins -- or possibly someone else, since they'll have room under the 15-man roster maximum.

    • Don't have to be miss cleo. His weakness are length, athleticism, creating his own shot, defense, finishing at the rim,  Strengths - shooting and IQ.   Likely won't work as non athletic shooters don't typically work.

    • I live in Indiana and took a trip that weekend to watch my two friend's teams play (Chiefs and Vikings) IN Minnesota when they were playing at a college field, I think TCF? Anyways, our plan was to watch the game (noon game) then do some shopping at the Mall of America, I wasn't planning on watching the Panthers play Seattle since I was out sight seeing and walking around after the noon game had ended. By the time we were walking back into the Mall the Panthers were down by 2 scores in the 4th or going into the 4th and we were all thirsty from walking around for 2.5 hours after the Vikings game so we decided to postpone shopping until after we ate. We found this nice little sports bar inside the mall that had the game on. Man, I'm so glad we skipped shopping because that was probably the most excited I've been in some time for a win. Beating Seattle in 2015 felt like the "monkey off the back" sort of feeling and I knew we had finally arrived as a team. The entire bar erupted when Cam hit Olsen for that walk off TD. Literally one of the greatest moments of my life. My friend wasn't so happy though lol, by the time the Panthers game ended ALL of the stores inside the mall had closed and he wasn't able to get any souvenirs. It was his first time watching a Vikings game live and making a trip like that so he was legit upset lol. I on the other hand couldn't have been happier.
