Nats thread

We will see.

We've got a very new lineup compared to last year. We don't have lot of power, but I don't think runs will be our problem. I think the bats will take a few games to liven up, though.

It's our rotation that scares me. But on the other hand, I'm encouraged by the defense. Livan really had a sub par outing, but we still only gave up 2 runs.

I'm still predicting a .500 season +/- 5 games.

Still not sold on Morse as an every day player. Would be happy to be proven wrong, though.

And strange as it may sound, I think we will miss Nyjer Morgan, attitude and all. I don't see many stolen bases in our immediate future. Ugh, and Desmond, I love the kid as a SS, but a leadoff hitter, he is not.

Weird seeing Werth hitting in the 2 slot. That does not seem like the proper spot in the lineup for him. Kind of takes away from his potential for power and driving in runs.

especially hitting after fuging Ian Desmond lol

idk, with Morgan gone I don't really see a legitimate leadoff hitter.

Nats got screwed on the strike zone at the end of that game. Not that I am complaining of course.

I understand giving some close pitches to a guy like Halladay, but they literally doubled the strike zone on that final at bat to Pudge. I'm not even hating on the ump for the Stairs at bat; he sat there and and struck out looking to 3 very close pitches.

The Pudge at bat though was fuging disgusting. First he gave him the pitch on the inside corner. Whatever, if you're going to call it at least be consistent. and then on the final pitch, WAYYYY outside, and it's strike 3. Just a bullshit way to end the game.

Sweep! Didn't see this coming with Zim out, but if they can just go .500 or fingers crossed, .600 until he gets back it'll set us up real good. Clippard is unreal right now and the starters seem to be pretty good.

    • Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.  Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.   BY as of now: - To many fumbles - Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable - Not enough of a deep throw threat....   The stats you try use is deceiving.  Catchable......  That is an opinion. Show me the completion %. And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27

    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
