do you seriously want Mallett. Let's say that Otah gets hurt again and misses time like he did last year and they have issues at pass protection. if you think Clausen was bad with the rush then Mallett will make you want Clausen's running back. Mallett is VERY slow. i dont mind Mallett if he's protected because his arm is VERY similar to Jay Cutler's, but his speed is similar to a Drew Bledsoe.

Mallett is a slinger, he makes quick decisions unlike Clausen. He played in the SEC where they blitz almost every down. He is a good quarterback who is accused of doing cocaine. He's still a good QB.

Newton was 1 read and run because that is the system Auburn ran. You cannot define him as a QB because he happened to be in that system.

It's fair to say that his experience is 1 read and run, but that in no way means he will be the same in Carolina or Buffalo or wherever he ends up.
