Round 1 - Cam Newton, QB Auburn

Round 3 - Sione Fua, DT Stanford (or BPA at DT)

Round 3 - Austin Pettis, WR Boise St

Round 4 - Brandon Burton, CB Utah

Round 5 - Nate Irving, LB N.C. State

Round 6 - Zach Hurd, G Connecticut

Round 6 - Lawrence Guy, DT Arizona State

Round 7 - Zach Pianalto, TE North Carolina

Yep, and that's exactly why we don't need one this year. Plenty of good ones next season, and with the hardest schedule in the league, taking a QB now would be foolish.

Yeah it would be foolish to take a franchise QB when you have the first pick. After all we have had it so many times. We would be a lock to get the first pick next year as well. Forget that it never happens, this would be the exception to the rule for sure.

Just saw WalterFootball's latest mock and our round 4 pick was Edmond Gates, WR Abilene Christian. I thought this was pretty interesting.

Anyone know anything about him?

Depends on how you measure. Did they get the right guys at the exact position or did they just predict the majority of the guys who went in the first round regardless of exact position.
