Hey Boo (Kidney Stones)

Recommended Posts

Update:

Went to the Urologist Friday.

Took a urine sample and said that its still there based on what's in the sample. Also said that the ER notes I gave her say that there are several small stones in my upper kidneys. FN awesome. Said they hopefully will stay small and most likely wont ever be a problem but I need to check it in 6 mos. just to be sure.

She said I won't feel it pass b.c it is so small. Also said if I hadn't passed it by tmw (Thurs.) I need to go back with an X ray. Well, the problem is I don't know if it has passed unless I am straining my urine every time I go and it could even slip through there. So, I'm either getting a pointless X ray for nothing or getting an X ray and its still there so they can see where it is. Basically, based on the size, it has to go through a teeny little opening to get into my bladder which is a little smaller than the stone itself.

Prescribed me some new pain killers and other flow stuff. Also disproved a lot of the myths we talked about on here. Although, Panthro, she had never heard the beer one, she liked that. Gave me a full list of what I should avoid in my diet to stay away from developing stones. She did say, I'm not going to write you a prescription for drinking, but a couple beers will definitely help your flow.

I am now a designated "Stoner"(<--haha) for the rest of my life now that I have had one. Awesome. Really lookin forward to that.

If I don't pass it by next week, we have to start looking into options for surgery which is not fuging happening. You have to have a stint put inside you and they go in through down there.....basically I will avoid it at all costs. Can't go the laser route like a few of you suggested because its already in my bladder and getting lazerz near the ovaries of someone my age is nooottt a good idea. I wanna be havinz teh babiez at some point.

All this trouble for something as small as the tip of a pen :(

Thanks guys. Going to get my X ray today then going over there tmw so I guess we will find out if it's still there or not.

One cool thing she told me about was when people have large kidney stones, another way to break them up is sound waves.

You literally go lie on the bed of this truck like thing, and there is this giant machine underneath. It shoots sound waves into your back to break up the stones, she said it doesn't really hurt either, just feels like someone lightly slapping you with a spoon on the back.

Thought that was pretty interesting.

Damn boo, reconsider getting inseminated by the man seed! My ex-wife was a "stoner" and she developed stones while pregnant. Wasn't much they could do accept stint her up for 7 out of 9 months. Kidney Stones caused me to declare bankruptcy and tend to a female that had a piss (nephosomy?spelling) bag plastered on her side for 2 months. After all that medical hell she put me through, she still left me! Hahahaha jokes on her now! Wait, is this ex-wife or kidney stone thread?

Lithrotripsy(sp.)? Dealt with three different urological centers in Va and none fixed her. Went to Duke and I shall forever be a fan, would be even more of a fan had they killed her in the process......I jest, I jest

Let me rephrase that........if you get to where you are attempting a planned pregnancy then u may wanna consider a visit to the urologist for a check up prior to actually breeding! As silly as it sounds, in this case better to be safe than sorry!

    • Would be happy with Lomu or Iheanachor at 19. Fano is intriguing but I don't think he makes it.
    • II see it this way: We have to look at long-term needs and current depth.  We have filled some key spots with players on one-year contracts.  I firmly believe that they intend to pay Bryce some big bucks next year.  That means you cannot hope that your rookies in 2027 can fill the spots vacated by the veterans you could not afford to re-sign.   We need to consider the cap and the fact that the need to start a rookie is not viewed as a positive by coaches and general managers, but they value first contracts--so it is a delicate balance. I think they have to look at the cap by position--"Can we afford a $50m QB and a $100m OL?  That is half the cap, before you pay your WRs and RBs and TEs.  They need to start getting younger on the OL as well.   I am not suggesting that we draft OT in round 1, but we could and I would get it.  RT on a 1-year deal, they may have intel about Ickey (who was not the best LT, to be honest) and 32-year old Moton is on a bad wheel.   Now if you go by Morgan's history, you can almost tell what position we are going to address with the first pick by noting the positions he has not focused on in free agency.  DT, considering the lack of performance by those not named Derrick Brown and the loss of Robinson, is screaming to be addressed with a top player.  Wharton is not an early down DT (DE if you want to get technical) and our LBs need to be clean--they were not in 2025.  Look for a DT early. I also think we will address ILB (pass covering Will) on day 2.  The other day 2 pick will be an OT, in my view. Do not rule out CB.  We are thin there too, and Jackson is in his final year.  I am not sure that we love Smith-Wade.  Some crackhead on here talked about moving him to S----stay tuned.   Hopefully, a team wanting Ty Simpson will move up and offer us a pick or two to move back. DT WILB OT OC QB  (you heard it here 337th--but this pick could come sooner than you think.
    • Bryce had some bad games, but he had some good ones as well (and this is coming from a Bryce skeptic). I think it's a little simplistic to put all the offensive woes on Bryce, you also should be looking at O-line play, receiver play, RB and TE play, and also coaching. There's no way when I look at the offense in it's totality am I ready to say that a so-so to bad offense was all on Bryce, and, I also can't say that we don't need to upgrade any position on offense, save Tetairoa McMillan (who also wasn't perfect) and maybe the starting guards and T-mo.
