Combine?

At this point we usually have heard of a few players Carolina has had interviews with, but I haven't heard about a single one. Has anyone heard anything along those lines?

I haven't either. I've started to do some digging on interviews.

Every team gets to interview the draft candidates.

They line up in the hotel and go room to room (each room having a team) for 15 minutes for 4 or 5 hours every night of the combine. You usually don't get the individual interviews until after the combine and the pro-days start coming.

I doubt they're really even focused on it right now, who knows where they are gonna end up in the first round. If at all.

I hope they're looking at DT position though.

According to the Santa Rosa Press Democrat, Andre Smith have had interview with Washington Redskins, Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints and New York Jets.

You should have heard what some teams are doing to them in those rooms, to mess with their minds.

Here's an example.

A defensive coach for one team asking Ohio State linebacker James Laurinaitis why they should pick him. "Tell me something,'' the coach said. "When is the last time a linebacker from Ohio State came to the NFL and was worth a s---?'' That shook the Buckeye out of whatever confident zone he might have entered the room in.
