series is far from over

Boston is on a run now, but it's not like the Canucks are playing terribly. It's just Luongo giving the game away.

uhhh the Canucks have looked horrible. have you seen their defense as well? their whole team is out of it.

home ice series. canucks have only won 8 games ever in boston. game 5 will decide the series

I doubt its the home ice. In Vancouver, the Canucks couldve easily lost games 1 and 2 where in games 3 and 4 they have been blown out.

no...but several Canadians are! Don't be bitter yet Meat, you still have a chance...and 40 some years isn't that bad!

We avenged the Flyers debacle from last year and I think we've beaten Montreal two years in a row now so I can't be bitter. Vancouver had by far the best record in the league and we have outscored them 14-6 through five games. I remember when we had NEVER beaten the Canadiens in the playoffs. Now we've beaten them like eight times, I think.

    • You are right. At the same time I don’t think people are watching games going come on Bryce put it on the ground or sail it OB or whatever. They just have trouble seeing him turning his 3 or four or five top games of 2025 into the weekly standard outing. Which you expect for the kind of money he will ask for (speaking for myself anyway).
    • In terms of comparing Pickett and Young's arm talent it's basically a push at best. Pickett is sitting at 6.2 yards per pass attempt for his career while Bryce sits at 6.0 Last season Bryce was 6.3 in yards per pass attempt. Only Justin Fields Spencer Rattler (both 6.2) Kyler Murray (6.0) 41 year old Joe Flacco (6.0) 44 year old Phillip Rivers (5.9) rookie Cam Ward (5.9) and Tyrod Taylor (5.8) had less pass yards per attempt than Bryce Young in his third season as a starter. Folks going around acting as if it is beyond the pale to say Pickett might have a better arm than Young are living in an alternate reality. You can choose to not believe your own eyes after 46 games but everyone else will acknowledge reality and move forward accordingly.
    • Wayne Gretzky yesterday said he is playing as good a series as he has ever seen from a defender. I thought that was pretty high praise.
