Alice: The Madness Returns

Playing right now , about half way through chapter 2 .. definitely deserves a rent/ buy game is creepy and off the walls , definitely a breath of fresh air.

The skinny on it for those unfamiliar ..

This portrays Alice from Alice in wonderland , as a deranged patient who lost her family in a fire and escaped to wonderland in her mind to get away from it all .. relate it to acid and now shes having a "bad trip" so a bunch of crazy poo is happening.

Pretty sure they had puzzles in the first one.

They did , but they weren't all that complex , what I mean is they put some thought into them like ones you would see on god of war , zelda etc.

There are things on here a little more interesting than just puzzles , one scenario where you actually have to win a game of chess to proceed.

Also the first Alice is availiable as DLC for the game.

Yeah. I heard the game is looong too.

OMG YOU ARE NOT MISTAKEN EITHER THIS IS DEFINITELY DESERVING OF CAPS! ...

I have 17 hours of gameplay right now and this game has something like 6 or 7 chapters , and ill be honest im pretty legit at games like this. Like i flew through every prince of persia , uncharted , god of war etc. I'm moving along very smoothly.

There is soo much content. There is as much to do as Assassins creed and elder scrolls games , but the difference is even though you can do all this stuff , you're in a closed environment where you can only go forward , yet you still keep going .. and going .. and going! It seems like as soon as they finished game one , they started game 2. They have yet to do anything repetitive also.

I've read some people talking about taking 20 hours to finish the first chapter.

In games like Elder Scrolls and Assassins Creed there's so much wasted time that shouldn't count as actual game play, like running from pooty town to pooty town, or from back alleys to the top of a building on the other side of the map. If you cut those parts out and converted the game to a linear form, you're really just looking at 10-15 hours of game play.

I'd expect this to be more like Half-life 2 where there are no dead areas in the action, and game play is full and constant.

U STUPID PSC I HAS OVER 300 HOURS ON OBLIVIONS

bcuz u spend 295 hours running around doing nothing

I can definitely see that happening , it's the fights .. the enemies are quick and seem to have the same kind of reflexes you do , but as i am obsessed with the three kingdoms war , I buy every game koei makes , so im used to diving and weaving through traffic without having to worry too much like on dynasty warriors chaos mode so that helped me out a bunch.

basically it gets bad reviews because it's not completely brainless.

OMG PUZZLES HOW DO THEY WORK *rates game 5/10*

That and they bitch because they have invisible walls in some places where it looks like you would be able to move through there .. " oh noes it looks like I can go through there , there must be a secret over there but the game is cheating and wont let me !"

I can think of some of the best games ever made that had invisible walls .. Zelda: ocarina of time / super mario 64 / kingdom hearts .. list goes on and on .. I hate stupid people that play too much call of duty.
