I agree it should be legal, not sure this is a prime example of why. He would be just as arrested if it were cocaine, child porn, or anthrax, or radioactive material. The material received is completely irrelevant. It is a prime example of why they shouldn't be able to arrest you just for receiving a package in the mail. Some could easily be screwing with him, and there is no way for the cops to know that. They should have to prove that he actually wanted the package.

well, yeah, I agree with you on the premise he was arrested for a package that showed up to his doorstep without proof he was expecting it. instead of the state having to prove he is guilty, he has to prove he isn't guilty.

Might, hah, it's a forgone conclusion. This is going to cost me at least 5-15grand depending on how generous my lawyer is feeling plus the 1grand I just spent on my bailbondsman because of a 10k bail.

you need to turn right around and sue the state for damages.. cost of lawyer fees, time taken to deal with this, and f**k it, emotional turmoil. 4 felonies is serious poo.

Brunswick county, I live in Boiling Spring Lakes, technically Southport address. I have no idea why, or how they knew what was in the package. Maybe someone set me up, maybe a dog hit on it at the postal office. I don't know, the return address was for Oregon.
