One night after the NBA Draft, the NHL Draft takes center stage.

In other news, according the Hurricanes.com, the Canes are close to re-signing one of their UFA's. My Guess: Erik Cole, but we will see.

Also the experts have narrowed the Canes 12th overall selection down to seven possible players in this years draft, and here they are...

Minnesota, the "State of Hockey," should be ashamed. I was in Raleigh in 2004 when we traded with Columbus to move up from 8th to 4th when the #4 pick was on the clock. When we selected Ladd the place went absolutely crazy.
