My 5 yo to my 23 yo: We have a lot of brothers and sisters. My friend has only one brother. Why?

My 23 yo to my 5 yo: It's because Dad is a slut.

5 yo: What's that?

23 yo: It's a bad girl who gets in trouble.

5 yo (loudly): Mom, Samantha is a slut.

(Samantha is our neighbors 5 yo that likes to throw rocks and stuff in their pool and is always in trouble)

True story, just happened last week.

Your 23 year old called you a girl...

Mine yelled at me this morning "What's the use of buying my OWN pool if I cant swim whenever I want to!? And another thing, I should be able to make my OWN pool rules!!!!!"

This got her restricted from the pool for the rest of the day and possibly tomorrow too if her attitude doesn't change.

She's mad at me & Dan because we added more chores to her routine since she's out of school for the summer. She said, "I'm SUPPOSED to be on vacation!"

So, you got your pool from Wal-Mart I take it?

She does need to change her adatood.

He's only 5 months today... Still nothing, he grunts, and caws at things... He laughs a lot though. That's pretty hilarious. I can't wait for him to start talking...

My buddy told me something the other day that I hadn't heard before...

He said " you spend the first couple of years of your kids life trying to teach him/her to walk and talk, and then you spend the rest if your life trying to get them to sit down and shut up"

Yep. You may be dying to hear them talk now, but later you'd wish they never had learned. From 2yrs old till about 6 or 7, they will not stop talking, EVER.

I believe you... I'll just hope for his first words then... I bet that is true. I'm sure it's nerve racking but I'm looking forward to it.

This morning I had one of those moments. I feel bad about them. But he just ask so many questions! It's 6:45. I'm barely awake and I've got questions of all sorts just flying at me. I just wanted to turn my music on really loud and zone out for a while.

But in general i prefer him as a talker. So much more interesting.
