Could Walker/Barnes be the next Westbrook/Durant?

I'll wait for Walker to do something before crowning him and Barnes is a long ways off. It'll be hard to get a top 3 pick though. Some teams seem to intentionally lose games. I bet Bobcats win around 30 games despite having little talent.

I'm a HUGE Barnes fan, but I need to see him improve this year before I will go that far. He's great, but I want to see him improve his %'s from the field. The clutch factor is already there.

Durant is much longer than Barnes. Apparently Barnes held his own against Durant in that camp recently and looked like his handles are dramatically improved but Durant has a 7'5 wingspan to Barnes 6'11.

lol. Did you seriously just compare Barnes to probably the best scorer in the NBA? Barnes can't even do crap against college guys. If we were to waste a pick on Barnes, it better not be until the second round.

And before anyone says something about that, no I don't actually think Barnes will last even close to the second round. But he's not worth a first.

Barnes will be top 10 but I garauntee not a top 5 pick. This year he would have been a top 5 pick but the talent level in the 2012 class I believe will rival the 2003 class!

You use a first on a guy who has a high ceiling. This year, both Kemba and BSmack have extremely high ceilings but decent bust potential as well. Either one has potential to turn into a superstar. Barnes is nothing more than a decent sixth man. His ceiling is not that high but the UNC homers try to play it out like he is the best thing to come out of NC since MJ. I mean seriously, it's ridiculous that all of you think he's even close to being in the same conversation as Kevin Durant.

Well the comparisons to Kevin Durant are stupid. And I do think it is possible that Barnes won't be a top 3 pick (think 4th or 5th in the draft), especially when it isn't clear that he would have been a top 3 pick in this year's draft.

Lots of homerism and haterism going on in this thread. Call Barnes what he is-- overhyped but still a very talented player that could improve substantially next season.
