Did you know Ser Patrek (who died at the hands of Wun Wun right before Jon Snow got stabbed) was a character created for a Cowboys fan after he won a bet with GRRM?

The knight was clean-shaven and windburnt; beneath a cloak of white fur he wore a cloth-of-silver surcoat emblazoned with a blue five-pointed star.

True story... At least he died...

Also read an interesting theory kinda involving him, but could Jon Snow be Azor Ahai?

when the red star bleeds and the darkness gathers, Azor Ahai shall be born again amidst smoke and salt to wake dragons out of stone

Red Star - Ser Patrek = Queen's man (red), starry standard (star), ripped apart (bleeds)

Smoke - His wounds were smoking after he was stabbed

Salt - Bowen Marsh crying as he stabs him

Also, Melissandre at one point says something like "whenever I look into my fires, all I see is Snow"

Waking the dragons out of stone could have something to do with Dragonstone...

Maybe he'll get some aid from Aegon and Dany eventually...

EDIT... on that last line above... Aegon, Dany, Jon = 3 heads... Pretty sure that would verify that Jon has some Targaryen blood, which would pretty much mean his Stark blood came from Lyanna...

dany is azor ahai

the red star was the comet at the end of the first book

we don't know if azor ahai is one person or if it is surely dany

after all, melisandre asks for azor ahai and gets Snow. ;)

we'll see... I think that we know 2 heads, but don't know the third yet.

also aegon is probably a fake... there's no way GRRM would introduce the future king so late in the series so unceremoniously.

I'm not convinced of that at this point... I think the intention was to make the reader believe that, much like different people in the book interpreted it different ways...

Even in one of Jon's own visions, he's killing stuff with burning red sword...

Dany almost fits the prophecy, save the salt part... She's already wakened the dragons though, so maybe they offset...

I like the Jon theory though, because he's fit all of the prophecy so far, aside from the dragon part... yet...

I think Aegon is the real deal... I don't know why Griff would do the things he's doing otherwise, unless he's playing the Game... It did seem like Tyrion was convinced...

Griff may be doing what he thinks is right, but it doesn't mean that Aegon is real, because Griff could be getting played by Vaerys & Illyrio. In fact, if Aegon is a fake, it might finally explain why some of these power brokers have been propping up discord in the realm: they might finally have a pawn that truly is theirs. (though I do think Aegon believes he's real right now too)

I'm in the camp that thinks he's legit... It just makes sense to me...

...which means he probably isn't...

I just think Varys and Illyrio want to reunite Targaryen to Targaryen, Dany to Aegon... and they are supposedly all for the realm, so they'll want to aid Jon Snow too...

Snow ain't dead...at least not permanently...

At worst, he currently is but will get the kiss of life from Melisandre...

I'd be willing to bet that they are grooming Arya to go back to Westeros and kill Snow... She'll either refuse, or will comply, because Jon ends up turning into a bad guy after his "rebirth"...
