Who is better than Steve Smith in his prime?

Did you ever see Harrison play?

I have. Have you ever seen a receiver not post great numbers with Manning as his qb? Last season said it all. With all the injuries the Colts suffered at the WR position, Manning still managed to put up great numbers with backups as his starters.

Look at the ridiculous numbers Jacob Tamme posted last season when Dallas Clark went down.

A lot of people put Marvin Harrison in the top 5 of all time receivers. I don't think I've seen Steve Smith make the top 25 in any list. See if you can find one other than your own list.

I've attached a link as an example. Harrison is number TWO on this list.http://bleacherreport.com/articles/330608-the-100-greatest-wide-receivers-in-nfl-history-nos-25-1/page/25

I always thought Muhsin Muhammed was a pretty darn good receiver in his prime. Thanks for straightening me out on that.

Moose left after the 2004 season, the year before Steve Smith grabbed the league by the balls. And when he returned, I think we can all agree he was washed up and for the most part a non factor.

You do realize those lists are based on stats right? Give Harrison the QBs Smith had and Harrison wouldn't have those same numbers. I'm not arguing who had a better career, but a list doesn't prove who was a better WR in their prime which is what the OP asked

    • Yeah I think he's just talking continuity it's not really an endorsement. Also I would think CarolinaHuddle of all places would understand using "we" for the team you follow. I can't STAND when dorks do the "Oh so you play for them then? Hurr hurr"
    • Kon is a damn stud but it’s not any individual player’s team. All of the “big 3” are incredibly and equally important IMO. And LaMelo makes Kon way better (look at his shooting splits with LaMelo on the floor vs without. Also Moose and even Miles are important cogs. Honestly think we’re 1 piece away from being legit top contenders if the young guys continue to develop the next year or two. I trust this FO to be patient to find that piece within the next 2-3 years and not force anything. Plenty of time and even without adding anyone we have the pieces in place overall already to compete with any team.
    • We lost 2 very close and winnable games against top teams in the league while missing 3 critical players despite 2 of our top 3 players shooting unusually terribly. Still split the 4 games that Moose and Miles were suspended, winning the most important one vs the Hawks. This ain’t yo mama’s Hornets man. Hopefully Coby can go soon but even if not Moose and Miles are huge additions for our starting lineup and bench rotations. Schedule is pretty tough after these next 4 but I think we’ll take care of business the next 4 to get to .500 then finish slightly above .500 after that to get a 7 or 8 seed. Keep it rolling boys. Also Kon is having an insanely historic rookie season as a shooter. Like truly can’t believe my eyes watching this kid level of historic. Man what a fuging home run of a draft pick and exactly what this team needed to take that next step forward. He’s gonna shatter the rookie 3 point and franchise 3 point records. Has a real chance to be the 2nd best 3 point shooter ever or dare I say even get to Curry’s level (as a pure shooter, Curry obviously has way more to his game that has made him a GOAT).
