Hi everyone! I have been lurking on the boards on and off and finally got off my butt to join. My hubby & I, our son and his friend ( 18 & 19) will be in town for the game and want to come and meet everyone! We are die hard fans but sadly this is only the 2nd game we have been to. last years was the preseason game against the &@*#&* pats. But we still had a great time. We are staying at the Omni sat night and just looking to have a great time. I would love to be able to bring some kind of food to this but I have no idea of what would really keep and be edible! lol So I guess we will just do a donation! I am looking forward to going to a real tailgate party instead of just seeing one on tv, or like last year walking by them and saying man I wish I was hanging out with them! We will probably find a cheaper lot to park in and find our way to where yall are. This is our christmas gifts to ourselves! Nosebleed seats, cold beer, cold noses, new friends for next years games, and a possible hangover! lol Sorry for the long post, but this is Christmas and I feel like its Christmas morning! oh, any idea on where to buy some blue hair? lol can't afford the real panther stuff at this time so I will have to improvise! But I do have a borrowed jersey! Can't wait to see everyone.

I still need one single ticket! If you have an extra, I would be glad to pay.

I think I am going to have to bring another giant tub of cheese ballz! Those were quite the hit on Monday!

Ticketmaster still has uppers available, some of them are still in low rows.

My son and I will be at this one, can't wait to see ya'll again. We will be arriving Sat. mid afternoon and staying at the Marriott Center City. If any of you will be out and about Sat. nite (somewhere kids are allowed) let us know, would love to throw back a few. If not... will see ya'll early Sunday morning. :cheers2:

I'll be at this tell gate/game! Was planning to be at MNF but got priced out on tickets and unexpected bills did me in. I just got me a ticket for the nosebleeds online for $38. so I will be there. I'm thinking about taking the light rail. How far will I have to walk to get from the station to the tailgate? Its hell getting old and broken down!

Its about 4 blocks and not bad at all. I've ridden it all season as well and its the way to go. If your going to the tailgate get off at 3rd street

FYI- I don't think it's a very long walk from the Omni to the tailgate lot. I wouldn't drive and pay for parking.

Omni is on Trade and Tryon. That is only a 3 block walk to the tailgate. You would need to walk 2 blocks South on Tryon (From Trade to 3rd) and then 1 block West (from Tryon to Church). That would put you at the corner of The Huddle Tailgate lot.

Definitely walk...after the game it would take you alot less time to walk back rather than fight traffic.

Thanks for confirming my assumption MH.

Unfortunately, anything over 1 block is a cab ride for my fat arss.

    • They can get film of all the games? Every team? Wow! Who knew… Our games with them are big examples of why they are in  the CB market so hard.   It is the study they do getting ready for the games.  Preparing to play against is a little different than just analyzing film in scout mode. Deeper dive. Then you are analyzing post game too.  This goes to why players often change teams but stay in the division. The opponents know each other on a higher level.  Plus if you lost to us, you used to get fired. Now you have to trade your first round pick. Moving up on the world.
    • I honestly can’t believe this team’s turnaround this season. It’s surreal. Figured healthy we’d be fringe playoffs and with another lottery pick could finally turn the corner, but we don’t even need that. This group is ready. We haven’t played remotely well the last 5 games and yet still blew out 5 bad teams by 16+ each game like it was casual practice. We had a few solid teams with Kemba and Big Al but this is easily our best group since the original Hornets moved to NO. Man, what a shift in culture this new ownership group and front office has brought. So damn happy to see it after years of suffering and consistently meaningless games in this stretch of previous seasons.   Only 2.5 games out of the 6 seed, although Miami, Atlanta and Orlando have been playing well too. Gonna be a fun final stretch, hopefully we can get a top 8 seed at the very least. Celtics tomorrow will be a good test. Would be huge to keep the road winning streak up against a very hot top team on the 2nd half of a back to back. We’ve played Boston pretty well the last few years with much of this same group despite sucking so I do feel pretty good about it. Kon is due for a huge game coming off a few cold shooting games (although despite the poor shooting he’s been contributing well with defense, assists and rebounds).
    • It amazes me how underrated Horn has become after he finally was able to stay on the field. Sure last year wasn’t perfect but he was still a huge reason for our rebound defensively and I’d say he’s easily a top 10 corner. You don’t want to see Mike Jackson as our top corner. Any player is available for the right price but I’d be extremely hesitant to move Horn even for a big haul from LA.
