Brian Baldinger wants to marry Cam Newton

Malzahn built the offense around Cam's strengths. the year before, his offense with Chris Todd at QB looked nothing like what he was running with Cam at QB. the same goes for Barret Trotter running it this year.

he completed nearly 70% of his passes at Auburn, so i'm not sure where the draft "experts" were getting these accuracy issues. if he was dinking and dunking it in a spread offense, i could see where they might have concerns, but a vertical passing game's a huge part of Malzahn's offense.

tbh, Chud's offense reminds me a lot of what Cam was asked to do under Malzahn.

It's called nitpicking and intentionally overblowing everything Cam did and said to create the preception that he was what they said he was. Does he have to learn and adjust to the pace and style of the NFL? Yes he does, like all the other QBs.

that's true, but i think that the fact that Malzahn's offense was HUNH will make the transition easier, as far as adjusting to the pace of the game goes. it seems like the Patriots, Packers, and Rams are all running a version of the spread/HUNH right now, so maybe the NFL is following the college trend....as far as tempo goes.

it's jmo, but i think it has a lot to do with Cam seeming so comfortable in the 2 minute offense the last 2 games. he was pretty much running a 2 minute offense every time that he went on the field for Malzahn.

Like I said before, if u research Cam, u will see that he was the QB who was used by a college team according to their needs. Cam ran a lot more than he threw because that is the capacity inwhich they used him. So not surprised that he isn't Jimmy Clausen accurate at the moment.

Cam did NOT "run a lot more than he threw" at Auburn.

He had 280 pass attempts.

He had 264 rushes. Many of those rushes started as pass attempts.

To say he "ran a lot more than he threw" at Auburn is 100% inaccurate.

Pre-season vs regular season. Not college vs NFL. Cam was still at 40% in the pre-season.

That's what's.....still, unexplainable.

Unexplainable? Really?

You have no imagination? I can think of several things that could explain the difference. Starting with the play calling.

poo didn't see it was you PFFL. I'm not trying to troll you to hell today, I promise.
