Trade Advice

I am in a PPR league - you start 2 RB's, 2 WR, and one flex.

My RB's are McCoy, Bradshaw, Beanie Wells, Daniel Thomas, Joseph Addai, and Ben Tate

My WR's are Fitzgerald, Miles Austin, Mike Williams (TB), and Danny Amendola

Austin and Amendola are hurt but both are expected back in a couple of weeks.

I have been offered Roddy White for Mike Williams, Bradshaw, and Addai.

Do you think I should do it?

I wouldn't take it because you don't know when Beanie is going to have to sit out a game or two again. If you accept that trade you're holding out hope that McCoy and Beanie will play every game because Tate will be sent back to the bench as soon as Foster is healthy (probably this weekend). See if you can get a second tier rb off of him along with White. If you can I would jump on that in a heartbeat....

Thanks for the response...

My actual thought was that Daniel Thomas would be the other starter. I feel like he has taken control of the Miami RB position.....but regardless you are right that it would leave me strapped a little at RB

I would wait a couple of weeks on Thomas. Even though it appears that he has taken over the starting duties, their coach still is saying Bush is the number one guy. I have Thomas in all three of my leagues actually (two of them I picked him up after Charles went down), but I'm waiting to make sure he really is going to get the bulk of the carries the rest of the season before I handcuff myself by making a trade that forces him into the starting lineup.

If you're gonna consider taking that trade, I would at least try to get a decent RB off him. It would make the trade a little more fair. 3 for 1 is kinda pricey just for one receiver. If anything, try going after someone better than Roddy. Best choice IMO would be to go after Calvin Johnson. He's been going off in he past three games.

    • It will be really interesting to see how both sides handle this. I'm sure the team would love to get him signed to a 4 year deal based on his output so far and some potential factored in, i.e. something like a 4 year $30 million contract.  But I could see his agent telling him the best path is to take the one year offer, put up a big year next year and then really cash in. The team also has to keep in mind T-Mac's 2nd contract, which likely will happen after the 2027 season assuming he keeps improving as expected.  Even if we could get him on a budget 4 year deal for what he could become, the problem then becomes when he wants to re-negotiate in 2 years during the same summer we will extend T-Mac, and you don't want to spend that much on WRs in one offseason, just see the Bengals this last year. Taking everything into consideration, I'm thinking the 1 year deal and then getting him to sign a 4-5 year deal after hopefully say a 800ish yard season next year might be best for our cap situation and separate his and T-Mac's negotiation periods.
    • And yet jax made it no further than we did, and its very possible the Pats don't either. I think it speaks more to the overall down year for the nfl as far as having great/dominant teams, every team this year has fatal flaws that can be exploited
    • Ehhh I agree the nfc is stronger this year but their really werent any truly dominant teams this year everyone is flawed, I think the narrative for the NFL this year will to try ahd force a Josh Allen SB win
