What're you packin'?

Out of boredom and curiosity, what's your system packin'?

Right now, until I return to the States, I have a Dell XPS M1530 with an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4ghz with 800MHzFSB, 3M L2 Cache and a 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphics card.

Its also got 4 gigs of 667mhz DD2 RAM and a 7,200RPM 500gig HDD.

The best thing I like about it is the 15.4 inch high def screen with LED backlighting. Its retina searing goodness.

I also have a Dell Mini9 that I drag to school instead of my expensive laptop. Its packing a 1.6ghz Intel Atom processor, 2 gigs of 533mhz DDR2 ram and a 32 gig SSD.

On the XPS I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit and on the Mini I'm running Windows XP Home

The system I'm on most is my work laptop...

Dell Inspiron M6300

Intel Core 2 Duo T9500 @2.6GHz

4GB of DDR2 RAM

Nvidia Quadro FX 1600M w/ 256MB RAM

60GB SSD Hard drive

I've really liked it... it is quick and the best thing is that with the SSD it boots in like 20 seconds, which is handy for a laptop.

We don't talk about this kind of stuff nearly as much as we used to during the processor wars...

That sir, is a sweet system. But, 1.5 terabytes of storage? How much porn do you need? :P

    • Great teams build through the draft and have several young players that start that are on rookie contracts. It's important to hit on players in rounds 4 thru 7.  These should be future starters and solid depth.  When you hit on most of your picks you free up a lot of cap space for those one- or two-year players to fill spots you are thin at. No GM is going to perfect on all their picks.  You're going to whiff every once in a while.  That was Hurney problem.  He'd nail the first pick but after that it was reach after reach and we couldn't get any depth on this team. I'm excited about Morgan as our GM and hopefully he'll be around a long time.  It will be even better if Canales can continue to grow as a head coach, both in the development of young players and play calling. I remember last season after Young came back in the lineup and started to perform well.  We saw different plays I had only seen other teams use.   If Canales's play design and play calling continue to grow. Morgan and Canales will be linked together for a long time.  It would be nice to see a Coach and GM together for a decade or two. Go Panthers
    • They also came out for the encore and the singers were dressed in canes jerseys. Pretty fuging cool.
    • She kicked ass. Obviously not the same but it’s an absolute pleasure to see this band live. What a great evening.
