Does the NFL need a Draft Lottery?

Thinking about the Andrew Luck sweepstakes, wondering if the NFL should adopt some form of a Lottery. Maybe bottom 5 or 10 teams get into a Lottery similar to NBA to determine who gets #1 pick.

This would protect the integrity of the game and keep coaches/GM"s from potentially tanking season to land an Andrew Luck. Thoughts.

IMO tanking a season does more harm than good in the long run, especially if you're a team in a tough sports market. Just look at last season's debacle for the Panthers. Even though we have star power again in Newton and Smith and an exciting brand of football, the stadium isn't nearly as full as it could be.

I have no problem with a team trying to tank for Luck since as a fan I experienced "tanking" for Luck last year.

      I didn't move the goal posts. But anyone who follows football who wants to engage in a rational discussion can't argue that 10 7th round picks are equal to 10 1st rounders in value. The argument has always been we haven't spent as much on defense has we have on offense. Draft picks have value just like salary. We have not spent the same amount of draft pick salary cap on defense that we have on offense since drafting Bryce. It's not even close. Just the 2 1sts we used on Bryce, 2 overall 1sts have a value of 6000. That doesn’t even factor in DJ Moore or the 2 2nds. Bryce cost more than everything we've spent on defense in 6 damn years.

      Woukd be a great addition You know the issues from my prespective, 2 things the Panthers must do 1. Edge or pass rushers or 2 oline or 3 oline or as Andy Reid says, when in doubt, draft a lineman it is time   That oline is troubling plus a small person at QB  they   1. Can do a lot better than mayes at center, 2. and lewis has had injuries all season. 3. Moton should not have  been resigned long term, 4. corbett is a shadow and will probably be released  5 and Christianson coming off Achilles   6 and the kicker, would be Ickey’s contract if they decide to keep him INMO rookie and contracts will be needed to offset all that
