Can Pep Ever Come Home Again?

NO.

If I was a KC fan I wouldn't want Tony G to retire in KC either.

Guys like Jake Delhomme or Kasay can always come home.....guys that opt to leave for greener pastures don't get a key to come back.

Moose did it...... Funny thing is, that it was for Chicago as well....

i saw someone wearing a Peppers jersey during the Bears game last Sunday and i had to intensely and actively resist the urge to kick them in their face.

I'm not quite sure WHY this enrages me so much, but it does. its not just against the Bears either, its 24/7. People should burn that jersey. Its never going to be like a throwback Sam Mills or Mike Minter or Westley Walls or Brad Hoover. Hes gone and i hope he chokes on that contract he signed with those player stealing Bears.

correction.

Moose was cut, cause he wouldn't redo his contract when a 10 million dollar bonus (that everyone knew he wouldn't get), and he signed to the bears within hours of free agency, which definately leads most to believe there was tampering.

Peppers didn't bitch and moan at all. If you think asking for more money is bitching, i hope you never ask for a raise.

Don't let the facts stop your delusions though.

We offered to make Pep the highest paid defensive player in the league after a season in which he virtually disappeared. He refused. When his contract ran out the next season, he wouldn't resign so we tagged him. He refused to sign his tag making it impossible for us to trade him. Not to mention him making comments following the season about not wanting to be in Carolina following the season. That is bitching and moaning (not entirely in public) until he got his way.

Moose walked because we couldn't pay him what others would. Pep left because he didn't want to be here despite us already offering him the type of money he got in Chicago.

    • Thank you so much for posting links to the players so I don’t have to copy and paste the name and look it up.
    • All signs point to legit. We’ve been way better than our record the last few years it’s just we’ve had brutal injury luck. Also I’ve watched nearly every game this year and 3 things have stood out to me even when healthy from early in the year to now: 1. Early on Lee had some brutal rotations and situational coaching but he’s improved a ton there. We lost some close ones early we should’ve won. Sure most our recent games have been blowouts but in close games we’ve improved a ton there. 2. Defense. Overall team defense has improved so much, it’s not just hot shooting winning games. This D is absolutely a real trend and sustainable. LaMelo in particular has gone from flat out bad defensively to above average. We have so much length we always should’ve been good defensively but it took time for guys to buy in and really hone in on it which they have.   3. Pretty much all our young guys have taken strides forward. Moose’s development as a passer has been insane, Miller is putting it all together to be an elite 3 tier scorer able to hit 3s, mid range and finish at the rim. LaMelo still some poor shot selection but has cut the turnovers considerably. Kon has been a great shooter all year but has steadily improved in other aspects of the game too.      It has definitely been surprising how quickly it all came together out of nowhere but really none of it surprises me. We’ve been building towards this for years now.
