NFL Network Highlights of Today's Game

Some of the pass/catches today between Newton and Smitty were unreal. My jaw literally dropped several times. Anyone who thinks Smitty is slowing down needs to shut the fug up. Guy has several elite years left in him. Just look at the dude. Hasn't changed a bit since 2001 besides the fact that he's 100x better.

Yeah, I almost shat myself on the early screen play when he went up the sideline and it looked like he was forced out of bounds in a crowd of Skins players, only to jump out of the pack and get about 10 more yards, lol.

He is awesome and I'm so glad he didn't leave... Still fun to watch.

I watched the denver game while I listened to the panthers (can't get the game down here) and The Golden Calf of Bristol really stunk up the stadium. With matt moore on the other side I was expecting 50 OT quarters with the score 0-0 but somehow Denver stumbled out a win on the first OT.

Thanks for posting the highlights man! I was quite pleased to see that deep ball to smith that had the radio team all spazzed out.

Jesus.

After this season I'm going to have to go back and make a "splash reel" of all the hilarious plays we have had on offense. Between our RB's blowing people up in pass protection to Smitty throwing dudes 25 yards on a run block or Cam making people tackle air on scrambles. It's fuging awesome.

    • I know people get mad when I point this out but there are usually only 1-2 maybe 3 solid players each draft. Everyone likes to hype up in the offseason and think all 7 will be Pro Bowlers but realistically in my opinion: Freeling- Solid Starter for a while probably makes it to 2nd contract. Hunter- Turns out to be best player of the group. Turns into a Kawaan Short type DL. Brazzell- Serviceable, some flashes but doesn’t make it to a 2nd contract. Too slow in the short game, takes a while to build up speed, runs awkward on routes. Lee- I just don’t see it on tape. Maybe a taller version of Troy Pride.  Hecht- I think he will be around for a little while. Reminds me of Mays, where he was shaky at first but eventually became dependable. Wheatley- Really like him. Think this will be a guy that sticks around a while as a borderline starter/solid back up. He’s already probably better than Nick Scott. Kuwatch- Probably a depth/practice squad guy a few years and fizzles out.
    • And I believe the 1st matchup was Shough’s 2nd career start.   Remember Bryce’s 2nd start?    If you don’t, no sweat, he will probably replicate it a couple more times this year.
    • For a topic that started as a lighthearted, off-season "hey, bryce should keep the beard" banter, this thread sure took a turn
