Skyward Sword

Anyone else get this early? I'm 12 hours into the game on the third dungeon and am having a blast. Some of the enemies are strange and I end up swinging the wii remote like a mad man but others are interesting and are fun to learn how to defeat.

For those without a wii, if you have a gaming PC that's up to date, there is a wii emulator that reportedly can run the game well:

If I had a complaint I wish there was more story to the game but alas it's a game and not a book so what can one expect.

That excuse is old hat. Plenty of games have great stories, and it's not just new games.

Nintendo really doesn't buy into the idea of challenging their fans with different content, though. Hence Nintendo fans buying the same games from them every two years for the last few decades.

I would tend to agree with this. The LoZ series really has gone downhill ever since OoT. With that said, I'm excited to fire up my wife's Wii in the not to distant future and see if Skyward Sword is any better....

You could say that about so many games though including all sports and FPS games. Also, having just finished Uncharted 3, I can say it's the same as 1 and 2.

SS is similar to previous Zeldas but it has a wonderful new soundtrack, different graphic style, new characters, a new adventure with new puzzles and new ideas especially with how it interfaces the wii motion plus controls.

More than I could say of a lot of sequels out there.

windwaker and twilight princess were flat-out AMAZING games. majora's mask lacked a little but it was still a damn good game. only bad game in the series: zelda 2

    • I'd hold on to Walker - we have no OT depth at all. Freeling is a block of clay - all the tools are there and he appears to have a great attitude. He needs serious work on his technique to realise his potential though.
    • From my watch last night: They weren't trading out of 19 unless it was a daft offer once Freeling got there. They were clearly antsy to get Hunter - and Minnesota actually called to offer the trade down. They weren't trading out of the third round pick once Brazzell fell to it (and Canales would have been happy with him in the second round). They traded back a lot on Day 3 - even if Morgan 'Babe Ruth'd' it with Lee, Hecht and Wheatley; they clearly weren't the only guys they would have taken at those picks. I'm curious to know which player caused the reaction at the start of day 2 (Dan Morgan): "of course they'd pick him"
    • Watching this confirms that this staff and front office is super high on Monroe Freeling. I wouldn't be surprised if he's gotta a real chance to win the starting LT job in camp. If he does, we can look to flip Rasheed Walker to a contender desperate for tackle help.   As for Ickey I still really like him and wanna extend him but based on how the staff was talking about Freeling it might be time for ickey to start taking some practice sets at guard if he wants to stay here as we are gonna have to have figure out a solution for the contracts of Lewis and Hunt.  My preferred scenario for the Oline in 2027 is Freeling-Ickey-Hech-Lewis-Moton.
