ESPN Splits the Picks B/W Us and New Orleans This Weekend

Including Golic, which is frankly baffling. I don't have a problem with Golic, but Mike Golic hates the Carolina Panthers with every fabric of his being. I've been looking at these ESPN picks every week for almost ten years now, and I don't know that I've ever seen him pick us unless there was absolutely no question we would win. Makin' believers.

sorry, guys. i don't see it. our offense can put up points for sure, but not like new orleans. add their offense and our patchwork defense, and you have a high-scoring game. i think it will be fun to watch, but i say they win it by at least 7. if they had home field locked up, then i think it would be a different story.

Oh please. The Panthers always play the Saints tough. New Orleans won't score as many points against the Panthers as they do against other teams. They never do.

If Cam can continue his play of late, we have a realistic shot. No turnovers and this game is a toss-up. Give Brees extra possessions, and we should lose.

If we get their A game and still win. It will send a strong message that the Carolina Panthers have arrived. And my giddy just got a little giddier over that thought.

We are knocking on the door of Elite. And it only took one year, and of course, one Elite QB.

My giddy is as giddy as a giddy can be. And GOOOO CATS!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Honestly, the only way this team is going to win is if the defense become so pissed they have Brees look like a confused boy on the field. Didn't Brees throw 2 Ints on Monday and still won?

Don't understand why anyone would single out something Cam has done and use that as reasons why the team can't winning. Defense...Defense....Defense. At this time of the year, they are called on more than ever.

    • Sometimes its fun to read the threads/posts.  The panthers could literally hire a groundskeeper and we'd have a thread "improving the field for no other reason to prop up Bryce Young".  Apparently no move is ever done to actually make the team better.  All a conspiracy to just focus on Bryce Young. Or suddenly daydreaming and reminiscing about Sam Darnold when he was hated more than Bryce Young.  Its really fun to do a message board search about Darnold during that time period.   Or thinking there is just a tree that grows QB, and you can just easily go up and pluck one.
    • Yeah okay. We as an organization have been more patient with him than many. And there has been a small parade of guys drafted since he was, also to bad teams, that have passed him. Some have lapped him. As a fan I am out of patience but he gets this year it is out of my hands always has been. I just hope the bar is higher than it has been for him.    FWIW, XL dropped two passes last year. He did do some other bad stuff, just saying.
    • Except it takes those QB's a few years to develop because they needed to learn the mental side of the game and have it catch up to their physical attributes. Bryce was supposed to be a QB savant who already had a fully developed mental side of the game and that was going to make up for his lack of physical ability.  And his lack of NFL level QB physical traits has been clear as day to anyone who has watched him the last 3 years, mainly, he just doesn't have an NFL arm, he can't zip the ball into tight spaces or throw on a line down the field like is needed at this level.
