Who is staying besides the obvious and what will happen with the back ups?

Current LB's

Bold = Staying

Italic = Unsure

Jon Beason MLB

James Anderson SLB

Thomas Davis WLB (Unsure as to if he will be back to full playing shape next year but I'm fairly certain he will be back.)

Jordan Senn WLB

Dan Connor MLB

Omar Gaither MLB/SLB

Jason Williams WLB

Kion Wilson SLB

Thomas Williams WLB/MLB

Jason Philips MLB

I'd like to keep Connor but won't be surprised if he isn't here next year.

Keep in mind we are drafting Sean Spence in the second round... I hope.

Well considering you either think he is staying or you are unsure it makes no sense to have both
I'm certain we will retain him. I'm uncertain as to if he is coming back for full time next year with his injury history. There is also the possibility of a contract restructure due to him being prone to injury. There are too many variables to consider. That's why I believe Sean Spence is the right choice in the draft. Davis 2.0 minus the injuries hopefully. I would love to keep Davis.

So you are certain we will retain him yet you italic him which means you are unsure? That makes perfect sense :rolleyes:

:lol: You asked who was staying not who was playing
So you're still having trouble with the explanations I gave you?

Unsure about him playing next year yes. Are you keeping up?

To answer the OP only ones I think will be back for sure are Beason Anderson and Senn. If Davis knee is progressing well he will likely be back but hard to know how it will hold up. Some of the others will be back for special teams and backups but have no clue which ones it will be.

    • I think that depends more on how high our pick is. If we have the 1st, 2nd or even 3rd pick i think we are drafting a QB rather than shopping FA market for a QB1. Curious if we’d be reluctant to start a rookie QB week 1 though.
    • Hurney 2.0 and Fitts were so bad I don't know if it was intentional or they were that abysmally clueless. Fittershits panicked repeatedly being on the back end of positional runs while Hurney couldn't evaluate anyone outside of the 1st.  I can't figure out why Plummer still has a jersey. There's no reason. Dalton brings nothing to the table. If another QB gets cut that has given a glimmer of anything better than what we have, we should look, and that goes for every position.  I cant get over how much different this team could have been with a competent GM and having accepted the Rams offer for Burns. This franchise could have gone in a totally different direction.
    • I thought tanking wasn't actually a thing and we were firmly against it though?
