Assuming 1 comp. pick, though we may get 2. I wanted to stay on the safe side:

1st: Dontari Poe, DT, Memphis: I've been on this bandwagon for a while now, since before the combine. Poe is, IMO, the best and safest DT we could take in this draft hands-down. He has big-time elite potential if pushed to it and I feel we have the right coach to motivate him to not take plays off.

2nd: Josh Robinson, CB/KR, Central Florida: Has been rising up draft boards recently and could possibly be gone by this point, but there's a decent chance he'll be there when we pick. He's got elite speed and agility, good game tape, and a huge plus is that he can return kicks and punts.

4th: Evan Rodriguez, TE, Temple: Some will argue defense is more important here and I won't argue. It'll come down to who is available, but I REALLY like Rodriguez as a potential Jimmy Graham type TE. Sure, we have Olsen already, but even if we re-sign Shockey he's got another 1-2 years max and we need 2 TE's. I like Barnidge too, but he's had injury issues. I feel like Rodriguez could sit and develop for a year or two and then explode when given the chance to play.

5th: Demario Davis, OLB, Arkansas State: With Senn being released we'll need both depth at OLB and a special teamer to take his place. I like Davis in both roles and he has some upside to develop into a potential starter long-term.

6th: Joe Long, OG/OT, Wayne State: Not a big name, but he's the brother of Jake Long so the genes are there, so to speak. Can play either tackle or guard and possibly even center if need be. Would be a great versatile guy to have along the OL and could help save a roster spot by filling multiple backup positions.

7th: Korey Williams, ILB, Southern Miss: With Dan Connor set to leave via free agency we need someone to compete to backup Beason. Korey Williams has a knack for making plays in the backfield and could be a solid addition - or at least good competition for Thomas Williams.

7th (Comp.): Christian Thompson, FS, South Carolina State: I wanted to take a FS earlier than this, but I don't feel like any of them projected later than the 3rd round are all that great so I figured I'd wait and use our last pick on guy who has some upside and could potentially be a solid special teamer.

      Yeah lol well the interest isn’t really about seeking stimulation.  I wanted to see how actually bad it was.  And how much of it was women setting him up to be their cash cow.  That is the stuff that leveraged the Panthers into David Tepper’s hands. It is important in that sense.     The worst that I have heard is that he got them in the car and clumsily reached across to help them with their seat belt and made contact. With his arm. That was probably his big slick move. And I can almost guarantee he wasn’t rejected every time. It is easy to picture that action bringing his head close enough to the woman’s head to where he could go in for the kiss if he thought he got the green light.    I really don’t care if JR was a horn dog. We heard all our lives up until the last few years that one of the perks of being really old is that you can flirt with the young women and it is not just tolerated but expected. So he was keeping a tradition alive at some point 😂

      Well I rubbed some dirt on it and am still here just not optimistic about the future of the QB position. Even what I had accepted as a ceiling raised to an acceptable level turned out to be a bit of a mirage, upon rewatch of the WC game.  Good plays were there yes, but some pretty bad ones too that the good ones late in the game kind of obscured. I have to downgrade that a little.  Especially after rewatching the last 4 plays. I remember the arguments about he did his job the WRs didn’t but that was really just that last muff by Coker I think it was on our final offensive play.   To the future: I know what my level is for paying him and recommitting, but I don’t have any confidence that the team shares my high bar.    But thanks for the pep talk
