New Jersey Interested in Boris Diaw

According to Rotoworld, the Nets are interested in Diaw. If the Bobcats are able to move D.J. I could see a Diaw for Farmar trade taking place.

Really don't care if Diaw is traded considering he is an expiring but it'd be nice to get something out of him.

No way they do Humphries, he has a No trade clause and will only waive it if he is part of the Dwight Howard trade that the Nets are trying to get done.

Best case scenario would be for Morrow (probably have to throw in a 2nd for him)...worst case scenario would probably be Farmar.

The only thing is you have to match salaries with Diaw and neither Morrow or Farmar do straight up. So, throwing extra players in don't do much for me as they probably won't be expiring.

They don't have to be expiring contracts if you can pick up young players that can contribute. There is no need to worry about cap space considering that we are projected to be 21 million dollars under the salary cap come free agency.

We will need a pg if D.J. is traded and I agree that Farmar wouldn't be the best option but we will need someone.

Yeah if DJ is traded then I would consider it. But I don't see that much benefit in trading Diaw. Considering his value combined with his contract it likely will take multiple players and I can't imagine teams trading young players that will be much of a factor for our future.

He will at the end of the year. And he is basically now.

Likely will be bought out and allowed to sign with another team, it's going to be hard for the Cats to trade him and not take back a ehh contract. However if they took back a ehh contract they could probably pull out a 1st rounder out of the deal. I've seen worse expiring deals swing first round picks, so it's not out of the question.

Looking @ hoopshype, NJ doesn't have any bad contracts. Their cap situation is almost perfect to be able to pick up anyone that will come there.
