Is Melvin Ingram the BDPA at #9?

No I think that a bit too high for Everette Brown

Good thing Brown couldn't even touch Ingram then.

Ingram will be a beast for whoever drafts him, but he'll be more of use to a team that runs 3-4 more than they run 4-3, not to mention he'll probably be gone at #7.

Would rather have a DT.

It really isn't. I see Ingram more of a DE/DT than a DE/OLB. I don't thin DT or OLB would be his forte but just an added bonus. He can move inside on passing downs.

Ingram is nowhere near a DE/DT....with his size (6'1'' 264lbs) he is more of an OLB in a 3-4.

Coples is more of a DE/DT.

On paper they are the same damn player

Are you drunk again?

They are NOWHERE NEAR the same player on paper.

Ingram.....6'1" 264 lbs

Coples....6'6" 285 lbs

Check the experts....Ingram is being looked at as an OLB in a 3-4 scheme. Coples is a true DE that can kick inside.

Not to mention that Coples actually played DT in college. While Ingram was a pure speed rusher.

Ingram is a hell of an athlete and can get after the QB. But, they are NOT even close to the same type of player.

I guess what I was saying is I see him more on the line more than anything else. He does drop back on occasion but I see him as a DL. He moved inside to DT when Clowney came in at USC.

Don't get me wrong. He is a hell of a player....even if his measurables remind me of Brown.

I think he could be a great pass rusher at DE (ala Freeney). But, at that size I just don't see him ever being able to kick inside.

Fact is that he is being listed as OLB on most of the experts mock boards....like that means anything.

His height and short arms do worry me....usually makes it easy for OT's to get their hands on you. But, woudl not be totally against taking him at #9.

I think I will defer to Rivera on this one.If Ingram can translate his game to the pros he would be hard not to take a close look at.My question is could he be effective as a edge rusher in the NFL.

Couples looks like he should be a beast but has not played to those expectations.
