Good Waste Of $20

Brooklyn Bully

so is it just a dollar each, or do you have to do the super thing for an extra buck?

Just a dollar. The extra money is for multipliers. So if you got all five numbers but not the Mega Ball, you win $250,000, but if you have multipliers you can win up to a million. The multipliers have no effect on the jackpot.

I went out this morning at 7:00AM and got tickets for our gang. Then I had to go get groceries, so I got some for myself. (If I win, do you think they will go along with me telling them those were my tickets alone?)

I got them both way. With the Megaplier and regular.

The guy at FoodLion heard that people In New York City, are waiting in line an hour to get tickets. That's just crazy!

I posted ealier that there was a jackpot limit on if you caould take a lump sum. ( I believe that is with Power Ball.)

This is the largest lottery jackpot in world history. The cash option is $462 million, also a world record.

Mega Millions tickets cost $1 each. Players select five out of 56 numbers, then select one out of 46 for the Mega Ball number. Players can also pay an extra $1 for a Megaplier that multiplies winnings, excluding the jackpot, up to four times the original amount.

I just got wood!

Just WASTED $100 on tickets. Thank God I'm rich.

You have a long way to go to match these guys.

Ticket holders have about a one in 176 million chance of winning that $540 million Mega Millions jackpot, according to Larry Brown Sports, but some pro athletes are still trying to up their chances of supplementing their already sizable bank accounts. Washington Wizards rookie forward Chris Singleton tweeted that he was planning to spend $10,000 on tickets and that he's "dedicated to making more money." Of course he's only making a little less than $1.5 million this year so who can blame him for wanting more? Meanwhile, Oakland Raiders safety Michael Huff tweets that he spent $2,400 on the lottery in the hopes of supplementing his $32 million contract. C'mon, dudes, leave some for the rest!

For sure. If I had athlete money and played I'd buy more if I wanted to play. I only play the lottery once a year when the jackpot is massive. I guess $100 to me is like $10,000 to them haha.

My wife is picking them up now. First time I've ever played as well. We're doing 10 randomly generated, 10 we pick ourselves. She said she heard something on the news this morning about the odds are greater for you to win if you pick your own numbers now because the jackpot is so high the chances of the winning ticket being randomly generated is much smaller... Doesn't make much sense to me, but whatever...

BTW, how are people in NY, DC, and Cali. playing the Mega Millions if it's NC's Lottery? Forgive me if that's a stupid question, but I thought you had to buy the tickets in NC to be eligible to win our lottery.

technically if you had 176 million dollars laying around, you could buy every number combination and win and come out a little ahead after taxes..

Jerry Richardson, I need a loan....

But then if two or three other people hit too, you are fuged.

Lol. MM isn't NC's lottery.

Like here in CA we have CA super lotto and then MM which is played with damn near every other state in America.

    • Teams do some super stupid stuff with mid-fairly good QBs. I think they are just absolutely terrified they will be stuck with a QB that is not the quality of the QB they have now, even if its someone like Daniel Jones. Lots of trash QBs go in the first round. I encourage you to take a look at the sad, sad list of first round QBs in the last 15 years.
    • No, it will be a raw 6'7" 17-year-old European who just played basketball for the first time in March and who the idiot GM "had first on our board." He'll play the whole G-League season, get in 42 games for the Hornets and average 1.1 ppg on 35% shooting. Been there, seen that.
    • We missed on Burns at his peak value. That’s the problem with trading for picks 2-3 years away (which people were convinced the Rams would suck by now and these would be higher picks btw). Each year away the pick is the further in value it drops. Fitt was clearly hired based on turning us around quickly. It’s one of the many reasons tanking isn’t really a thing as our player JJ is telling you in this original article. It would take the whole organization from the owners down admitting they aren’t winning soon with Burns and picks 2-3 years away having more value because that’s when we are still rebuilding. It would only make sense if Fitt had a longer leash and would more than likely be the ones making these picks anyway which you wouldn’t want. The question is would you rather have those Rams picks with the strong possibility of Fitt still being here or would you rather Fitt try to “win now” like he did and expedite his firing? Altering the timeline would affect more than just the Rams picks.
