2012 Nfl Mock Draft

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I've updated my mock draft for the end of the season/post combine/post FA

You can check it out here: 2012 NFL Mock Draft

Let me know what you think!

I disagree with you picking Brockers over Coples. We have Ron Edwards and Sione Fua to stop the run, and while they might not be as good as Brockers can be in a couple years, they should be able to muddle up the middle enough to slow teams down. Keep in mind Fua improved over the course fo the season, and he should be better this season now that he's had plenty of time in a NFL strength and conditioning program. They just threw him out there last season, he clearly didn't know what he was doing early on, and his core was too weak. This season will be much different imo, as he will have had the experience he needed, and he'll be stronger.

Now the case for Coples. We're going to score a lot of points this season. The Saints are going to score a lot of points this season. The Saints were 1st in total passing yards for the regular season, and 2nd in points. They have a super bowl caliber passing attack, and they want to throw deep to their best weapons. They're the best team in the NFCS, and the biggest barrier to our Panthers making the playoffs. They way you beat the Saints is with a great pass rush. It takes Brees out of his rythm, rushes him, scares him, blocks his vision, prevents him from stepping into his throws, casues passes to be batted down, and causes games changing sacks and possible fumbles. We draft Coples and here is how our pass rush will look when the Saints try to air it out:

CJ, Applewhite, Coples, Hardy. Or we can mix and match them however Rivera wants along with a LB blitz. That's why I want Coples.

No offence bro but u should go update it again.

I hate critiquing and criticizing someone's hard work mock results but I just don't dig the brockers thing man. He's got potential but hell I got potential too. It's hard to judge what we should do at 9 but I know we will get a solid player none the less.

I'm off and on so many draftee bandwagons in the recent weeks but hell i don't even know who I want now but it sure ain't brokers

    • He has attempted 8 shootout goals in his NHL career and made 1. He is among our worst SO guys on the entire roster in terms of career stats.
    • Against Miami, the Panthers were behind by 17 in the 2nd quarter facing a 4th - 5. Young completed a 21 yard pass and they went on to score 7 on that drive. Then in the 4th, down by 4, they faced a 4th - 5 and again, he completed a 17 yard pass and they went onto score a TD for the win. He also accounted for 2 of the 3 TD's.  As I said, he got them in that mess and no doubt, Rico gets credit as well, but missing on either of those 4th down conversions hands the ball over and results in 1 or 2 less TD's giving them a loss. As you said though, that's just a small quibble. The real question is how does the FO see it?  I am guessing they see it as something to build on. I think most peope here see it as a total loss and fully expect the FO to see it that way as well. Time will tell.
    • Kochetkov is just too streaky. TBD if Freddie is doing that too. Freddie is the more reliable goalie over his career. The Bussi kid looks like he could be a solid #2 eventually.  Just need to figure out the #1 guy. Same as almost every year. It's not talent, it's consistency and being able to step up in the playoffs.
