Williams gets an earful from Fox for TD; Will not give up Smash and Dash just yet

Why go down...that makes absolutely no sense.

When you have a team by the neck, you break the neck in two..you don't let them hang around.

It is not like our defense didn't allow Tampa to march up and down the field.

Its not surprising though, too conservative. The team is hot, let them be hot, let them enjoy what they do.

As Fox likes to say, 'the other team practices too, the other team plays too'...this time, it was Deangelo's turn. Bucs stop him, or he scores. Simple.

Actually, it pissed me off when I read it. Sometimes, its better not to know.

Exactly. Screw that frickin' conservative philosophy. It's gotten us in trouble more often than not. Running up the score by another touchdown did the same thing. Let the boys (and the fans) have some excitement, and watch their team beat another by more than just a few points and clock management for once.

If i was Dwill i would tell him to kiss my damn ass.

Go down? Bullshit

That's definitely one thing ppl hate about that fool is that retarded ass conservative poo.

Like everyone said, that TD was huge for us. I hope we do that every time that same situation occurs.

yeah but you can't blame Fox... any coach would have done the same thing.. in that situation, you want to limit the other team's chances of having a chance to come back... how many times has Manning or Brady scored multiple touchdowns in just a couple minutes? and Garcia is an excellent quarteerback. It's all about game strategy and as a coach, you tell the player "hey, next time, go down so we can run out the clock, you know that, we've gone over it in practice... nice running though". Any coach would do the same, or they wouldn't be a good coach. I agree that he wasn't mad at him though, just making sure he gets his point across. it was an awesome play though!

any coach woulda done done the same... as fans you wanna see TD's, but as a coach, you wanna make sure you don't let the other team have a chance to win... if he had knelt they could have worn out the clock, y'all are blowing this up... and btw, Fox is a really good coach... spend your time complaining about Delhomme, cuz he freakin' sucks! lol

i actually think that we should have cut them a little deeper. i.e. have the line push on the victory formation so jake makes it back to the line of scrimmage and we stay over 300 yards rushing. just would have looked better on the stat sheet along with both rb's touchdowns and ypc. foolish I know but those tampa fans were asses monday night, and the players were in week 6.

You have to remember one thing- this is a writers opinion and nothing more. When Fox talked to DWill, he was smiling, probably saying something like "Mighta been better to lay down at the one". But it gave us a 2 score lead. Run the clock down and kick a FG might have turned into a block and return. We need to put our foot on the other teams throat once in a while.

Jake claims that he took a step forward then kneeled on the line of scrimmage, but they still called it as a 1 yard loss.
