Hands down the quote of the weekend came from new ESPN analyst Herm Edwards, on the risk pick that is Florida receiver Percy Harvin:

"This guy is one of those guys, whether he's driving a Ferrari, a Cadillac, a Volkswagen -- if he even goes to Disneyland and drives the little cars that run on the rail -- he's going to have a wreck. So you better have a good body and fender man. ... There're going to be some things you have to deal with, and you know that.''

    • 100%. He's a serviceable starter but not a shut down CB by any means. Not too bad for $5.25M /year.
    • Crap on a cracker! I didn't see that from the original video. That's nasty.
    • It is like he just can’t be bothered with that stuff.    But seriously, rebuilding your entire physical operating procedure is so difficult that very few can do it. You have to get it in you so deep that you don’t think about it. Most people fall back to their comfort zone at the biggest moments. Because it worked for them up until ‘now’ and they don’t have to think about it.  You would think people would know this but here we are.  His so obviously wack unorthodox mechanics screamed to me that a rebuild would be necessary and that the single biggest reason I was so opposed to taking him.  It plays out all the time. He is in and out of what Canales tried to train him to do. That’s what the emphasis on 1 2 3 plant throw was about last offseason, as much as it was about getting the ball out quicker. But it is all connected.  You just can’t get the ball out that fast with his old routine, slows you down.
