Let's start with the pyramids, Mayan and Egyptian.

Rome took over Egypt and Spain slaughtered the Mayans. Is it possible that in both situations the arrogant and distantly related Romans and spainish were jealous of the tribes that they considered dumb savages and destroyed the technology that was used to build the pyramids?
