My Case For Brandon Thompson Dt

Before cam how many pro bowl qbs from auburn?

Your argument If we call it that has precious little substance.

Actually yours is, I was trying to say that Clemson doesn't/hasn't produced good defensive players in the last ten years and I attribute that to there defensive coordinator in much fewer words than I had to now. You are attributing all of Auburn's quarterback success/failure to the program as a whole. Now when you take a look at the offensive coordinator of that team (Aubrun) Gus Malzahn, you realize that Gus Malzahn has already produced a Pro Bowl Quarterback in his short two year tender at Auburn.

Get my point?

This is the most ignorant argument that can be made, the college that a player attended does not define him as a pro. Determined players with talent can succeed no matter where they came from. Sure there may be handicaps that were in college like level of competition and shitty coaching, but talent is talent and your college coaches do not follow you to the league.

How is it ignorant? Kevin Steele didn't produce one single good NFL player in his tenure at Clemson and now he is fired. He was a bad coach and his players are suffering because of it.

Back to the talent of this player OP, I agree on all fronts. I am not a Clemson fan and have no loyalty to any CFB programs, but if we go DL at 40 this is the guy that I want. He will never be a guy with a lot of stats barring a major improvement in recognition or agility, he will create massive corruption in the backfield and allow the linebackers to run freely.

HE, NOR DABO NOR ANY OTHER BAD TIGER COACH WILL BE ACCOMPANYING THE PLAYER BRANDON THOMPSON TO THE PROS! Not saying these guys do not suck, it is wrong to put that kind of label of bust on a player because of where he played. Hate is work ethic, hate is ability, but it is ridiculous to think a kid will fail because of where he played at, should be at the bottom of the list in terms of importance.

They COACHED him, have you ever played a sport? Yes, all athletes have talent but these guys are coached a certain way and it's not always the right way.

I'm not saying that he was coached correctly, technique can be changed. Guy played at a high level in a major conference playing with bad coaching and you put a black mark on him because of that?
