If Your Wife Wants To Take Over Taking Care Of The Lawn, Would You Let Her

So recently, wifey has decided to inject herself into the lawn. She believes herself to be an expert in all things lawn care related in that she spent time doing google searches on seed, fertilizer etc. Even further, she has decided that she wants to plant flowers, bushes, tree's etc on her own in places of her choosing. This craziness must stop....I'm sure a fight is going to happen, but this lady has to get out of my yard......

vent over...

So she's either in the kitchen, the laundry room, or in the yard. You're on the couch. I fail to see a problem.

That means she has completely taken over everything that is man-land. She recently stormed my only sanctuary in the house, the theatre room and now has removed some of my Panthers gear to make way for some fuggin plants and such....no, my friend, this is a hostile take-over...one that must be stopped

Now, THIS is a problem. You should have mounted a Maginot-line defense at the man cave.

See my wife is like a ninja, she stealthy, creeps up on you and boooommmm, and the next thing you know is you now are sleeping under a comfortor with floral design, or your favorite chair somehow went missing or the table you used to eat at now has been "tablescaped" (if you don't know what tablescapes are I'd advise you to learn, seems like a lot of chicks are into this) at any rate, this thread is a warning to all husbands who still care and haven't given up....No MA' AM hold the line!!!!

    • I am no football savant as has been demonstrated here over and over, but I saw it.  I went for years doing the mock draft thing and researching the players that we might get around our pick, time consuming stuff. And we would get to the draft and trade the pick. All that time, wasted.  So I quit doing that. Also realized I was not a scout and would never be a scout and went to looking the videos and reports After  we picked a guy.  Maybe I would look at the 1st round, but quit that too and just looked after we picked.    When they did that trade I saw Bryce and his size and just ruled him out. Then it got to yeah they are probably going to take him, I relented and looked at some video and got to his pro day. It took me all of a few minutes to see the issues. The footwork. The arm. And the tape of games? The backyard style. I knew, what can I say?  (Also, went down the physical checklist, not a single plus attribute on the NFL level. Arm, speed, size, etc, nothing to offset the negatives. nothing)  I think it was easy for me because I had not watched a single game he played in college, and wasn’t drawn in by the hype. Had no preconceived notions and just looked at it pretty clinically.  I got in here and everyone was going “but look at what he did in college! It is the SEC, if he can do it in the SEC he can do it in the NFL!” Couldn’t reason with hardly anyone.  I don’t think I could tell you which guy would succeed between two prototypical guys with great arms and athleticism, and have no special insight into any of that. My one calling in football scouting was to see the real about what we were about to do. And you still don’t know for sure until they get in a real game in the NFL.
    • Miss Bryce sorely is possibly the most hilarious statement I have read on the Huddle in quite some time.
    • He did only throw 1 pass 20+ in that game. I think he is still struggling to adjust to the NFL. At Alabama he was able to extend plays and play backyard football. That's not only not the style of offense we have been running but his physical skills don't lend themselves to that style of play at this level.  So, the amount of issues he actually has to clean up are WAAAAAY more than I anticipated as a guy that had Bryce #1 on my board in that draft class.  I am just not seeing a reasonable path for him to clean it all up and develop in a reasonable timeframe
