Heroes Con 2012

I went every year from the late 80's to '01. Took a couple of years off then went back in '04. My kids came after that & I haven't been back. I saw it go from 1,500 attendance to 8,000+ in that time. Now I hear 12,000 is expected for this show since Stan Lee is coming. Looks like I'll be going tomorrow for all three days.

Anybody else going?

Where you there in 2010? I went to that one. Finally got to meet one of my favorite artists, Frank Cho and Adam Hughes. Frank Cho was so cool, he signed every single comic I had that he worked on. It was so cool. Adam Hughes was a bit of an ass hole though. I was trying to talk to him and he kinda just brushed me off. I was like, uh ok. So I talked to the booth girl that was next to him, I think her name, (it was a tom boy name too) actually I don't remember her name, but she was really awesome, we hung out a bit after the con and she invited me to dragon con in ATL, I would have gone but I had very little money.

    • Honestly, 2020 and 2021 were the years we sat on our asses like idiots. First being 2020.  Love may have been the one we missed out on with a trade down or a trade up from our 2nd pick.  And Hurts was a totally viable 2nd rounder to take a flier on after going DB. Love in particular was one of those top guys pre-college season, but he had a lot of TOs his last year and some iffy decision making pegged him back by scouts. If we hired a staff with a decent plan and vision (instead of Rhule and whatever he wanted to do) willing to groom him behind a vet, that may have been the money bet.  2021, it was Fields.  We could've tried him on for size, even if it didn't work, it would have put us in position to draft a QB in 2024. It all sucks.  We chased.
    • This aged well (less than 2 weeks). Imagine fleeing Ukraine to get away from violence only to get preventable death at the hands of a "misunderstood victim". The whole city needs a purge.
