Several longtime residents of south Fulton's Scarborough Road are irked that the county wants to change their street name in honor of Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton, who has family living there. At a public hearing last week, neighbors said it would cost them money to change their personal records, and that Newton, age 23, is too young to have a thoroughfare named for him. One woman invoked Newton's theft arrest and allegations that his father solicited money from a university recruiting his son.

Too early, too controversial, huge pain in the ass for everyone living on it. As convinced I am that Cam will be a Hall of Famer, you gotta wait for longer than 1 year in the NFL. Yea he beat the odds, but it wasn't as remarkable a story as say Michael Oher, couldn't really make a movie about it.

I am fully confident that all of the Vick/Falcon bandwagoners will become Cam Newton/Panther fans until he is in Canton 20 years from now.

Then they'll go back to doin the dirty birdy.

      It's your right to refer to it as vague, but it still flouts the theory of "zero evidence" that Tepper is changing. 'He's trying to trust Canales and GM Dan Morgan to get it right, knowing that the roster requires patience in its current state,' Fowler wrote. Fowler isn't exactly a nobody, everybody knows McAfee, and you also have some locals that follow the team (including Dean Jones). Of course you have a right to believe that Tepper hasn't really changed, but to say there is no evidence that he just may be changing is not really true. It's just not. Hate the guy, but the way that he has handled this current regime is different than he handled previous teams, and his silence in the war room and publicly in general is different than years back.

      Ehhh im not mad either way I don't think hes garbage but he was and is overpaid.... but he was a skating turnover machine.

      My interpretation of his comments was somewhat different. And I took issue with his contract the day he signed. But it's all history now and doesn't matter in the big picture.
