Why Clausen and Edwards are Panthers

DA doesn't fit a lot of what our team has become now because of Cam. If we really were concerned about this we should have cut DA too and get a mobile #2 to really fit our scheme... especially because #2 is about ten times more important than #3.

I didn't realize our offense was 100% read option. DA fits the scheme more than you think.

DA fits the core of the offense. The Cam stuff does are tweaks and add ons. Makes it better bc we have a QB that is unmatched. Core of the offense isn't about being mobile....it is about having an arm and being able to attack downfield vertically. DA fits the core of what Chud does.

Yeah because a lot of our offense is not based on the QB on designed runs or the option to run. 700 yards and 14 rushing TDs and countless options where he didn't run. A lot of our offensive success.

Vertical pass sets up and that stuff for Cam as well. With Anderson it would setup the RBs more.

Clausen didn't fit Fox's either. Imploded it. Would implode Chud's as well.

Chud's offense got him fired with DA in Cleveland. We are good because of Cam and the run or threat to run. And I am a Chud fan.

Anderson was a pro bowler as well....DA just played poorly year 2. Quinn didn't fit. Once you are forced to go with a QB who doesn't fit.....it's over. No chance.

Not THE reason...but potentially a reason.

I think Hurney takes great pride in being able to boast the Panthers have more drafted players on their roster than team X. Yeah, team X may win more games...but it is something Carolina has hung their hat on and bragged about to a degree in recent years.

Here's an idea... Sometimes, there doesn't need to be an opinion or feel good reason. Sometimes, the coaching staff makes decisions based off of information that NONE of us have... To include Zod, and he's waaaay closer to the team than anybody is here. Hell, I'm sure he has all kinds of good info that he keeps to himself... And this right here is a prime example. People try to rationalize things to make themselves feel better about a particular situation... Nothing wrong with it at all, it's human nature. It's just that sometimes, you dont need to rationalize or understand it. It's beyond your control! Either you're a fan or you're not. All this fair weather BS is what annoys me about my own damned fan base.

The Organization made some decisions today... Maybe they were easy, and maybe they weren't. Maybe they'll even have some regrets... But maybe they won't! I love this team, whether we're 1-15, 2-14, 6-10... Or whatever we'll be this year. I'm tired of people moaning and bitching about personnel decisions.

This team's moving forward... With or without the bandwagoners or anybody else who would prefer to second guess any decision they make. Trust this staff. They made 1 mistake with Mare in their tenure... And have since rectified it. Get with the program people.

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
